I imagine won't announce hire as new head coach is playing in NCAA tourney right now, until after their team is eliminated. So might be awhile. But methinks they have the offer out to them, just waiting on timing.

From what I understand, Michigan is safe. As for A&M, I've heard also that offer is out and will be taken once coach finishes NCAA tournament run...

Any hints as to who the offer may be out to? Another SEC Coach? Big 12 Coach? Big 10 Coach? Professional soccer ranks?

Possible Candidate for Florida & Ole Miss
    Florida State- Associate Head
    Arkansas-Associate Head
    UCF-Head Coach
    LSU-Associate Head
    Utah Valley-Head
    Xavier-Head

Texas A&M job is going after two Big12 coaches-1 Big10 Coach & 1 SEC Coach.
All the other mid-majors that are open will most likely try some P4 assistants, once that doesn't work, they will try Associate Head coaches at Successful mid-Majors or D2 Head Coaches.

Guessing it's among the Georgia, Michigan State, Baylor and probably TCU Coach.

The A&M search is further along than this.

also the second sentence, real groundbreaking insight —honestly can’t tell if you’re trolling

Thanks @ThePonchat - I hadn't seen the announcement about Le Moyne.

    https://lemoynedolphins.com/news/2025/11/17/wsocLeadershipChange.aspx

To be honest with you, I'm not really surprised by the change. They didn't have a history of being a good DII program so the step up to DI, even if it was just to the NEC, was always going to be a challenge.

If memory serves me correctly, they made a coaching change before their last season at DII and then right before that season started, the new coach coach bailed on the Dolphins for somewhere else.

The bar for improvement is quite low as the recently departed coach leaves with a record of 11-48-13 (.243), including 7-27-9 (.267) in conference play. At the DI level their record is a less than stellar 6-40-8. Ouch!

Good luck to whomever accepts the position.

The Florida job will be highly coveted by a wide pool of candidates. The Ole Miss job, probably not so much. You have to really want to live in Oxford, Mississippi. I think the student body actually outnumbers the permanent residents in the town.

It’s Ole Miss there will be a lot of candidates. I think you are right about Florida though. With A&M still open that is going to attract the best candidates before the aforementioned.

So who is the favorite for A&M and what does that open up next potentially?

FWIW, up above someone mentions that there is an offer out to a Big 12 coach for the A&M job.

Player incident in training led to a complaint and it was on video. So don't think it was because of results. My interactions with him were always positive but this seems to be what led to him being let go.

We lived out that way for a bit, and I don't see how this is an attractive job. Even with them joining the pac12. Location is not the best.
