Rollercoaster games for our competition for the CL spots. Currently we only have a 3 points gap to Hoffenheim while we are lucky that Leverkusen and Stuttgart conceded late equalizers to not get closer to us. We lost points in the last two matches against good opponents but the next 3 games are must win.
This is not Bayern... We have more then twice the number of points then Koln. It's the only competition we have left. No excuses...
Red Card just before half for Koln for an ankle tackle. Beier could have been injured severely. Very dark yellow to red imo so good call. 1-0 lead with a full half with an extra man. Should be easy enough but it's Dortmund you never know...
One of those red cards that isn't always given but also not a surprising decision. Some of the replays looked really bad. No excuses now not to win this.
Lazy lazy defending!! A down up, 1 vs 5 and they still manage to get within 1 goal with 5 minutes left in regulations. Can we hold the 3 points? It should be easy enough with a man up, but this is BvB...
And Couto touched the ball with is end in the box. We got lucky they did not took a second look at it because I'll seen penalty given for far less!!
And in the last seconds free kick and another penalty scare but he was offside so we got very lucky again... But we won, barely vs 10 man. That is not normal or the sign of a good team.
We had everything under control until the last minutes. Should have been a clean sheet without that lucky deflection and in the end we even have to be lucky to still win this. We just don't kill games when we should. That's also why we aren't in the CL anymore. As for the potential penalty, I don't think this is the type of handball that should ever result in a penalty while Cologne's anger is justified. Still a natural arm position in the middle of a jump while trying to head a ball through a lot of traffic. But it's the kind of situation where the decision depends on how the ref sees it in the moment and no one would say it's a mistake if you get the penalty.
