With the 2022 U-20 WWC wrapping up, I was wondering if there's been any hearsay about the hosts for the 2024 U-20 and U-17 World Cup. I was thinking that possibly Australia or New Zealand hosts the U-20 tournament.
Not sure it's official, but Wikipedia has South Korea hosting the U20 WWC and Chile hosting the U17 WWC in 2024.
It's interesting to see teams set up their qualifying tournaments for the 2024 tournaments and yet neither the U-20 or U-17 World Cups have announced their hosts yet. Is there a timeline when they'll be announced?
Mexico, the USA and Canada have qualified for the FIFA 2024 U-20 WWC. Still now news on who will organise the U-17 and U-20 tournaments.
The tournaments are roughly two years away. What is FIFA waiting for? I'd say it wouldn't be surprising if Australia or New Zealand host the U-20 tournament.
For the U-20 tournament, it looks like the allocation of slots will remain the same based on the qualifiers UEFA: 4 CONCACAF: 3 AFC: 3 CAF: 2 CONMEBOL: 2 OFC: 1 Host: 1

In a bizzare plot twist, UEFA regs suggest there is a play-off in the u-19 Euros for a fifth UEFA slot. The FFF had been mentioning since the beginning of the tournament a play-off game for the u-20 WWC and I thought we have 4 not 3 slot so why a play-off. There is the answer UEFA have 5 slots, so who had to give us an extra one ? I don't get it.
U-20 UEFA: Spain, Germany, France, Netherlands CONCACAF: Mexico, USA, Canada AFC: 3 CAF: 2 CONMEBOL: 2 OFC: 1 Host: Colombia

UWWC20 FIFA announced that the U-20 Women's World Cup will now be played with 24 teams. From August 31 to September 22 2024This is how the places are distributed: Host (Colombia 🇨🇴) UEFA 5 AFC 4 CAF 4 Concacaf 4 CONMEBOL 4 OFC 2— Wosoworld (@karlyboy71) October 4, 2023
FIFA also announced the dates for the u-17 WWC taking place in Dominican Republic 16 Oct 2024 to 3 November 2024. Now we have a curious situation at u-20 level where some qualifiers have ended and new teams have qualified (?) U-20 UEFA 5: Spain, Germany, France, Netherlands, ? CONCACAF 4: Mexico, USA, Canada, ? AFC: 4 CAF: 4 CONMEBOL: 4 OFC 2: New-Zealand, ? Host: Colombia
Well, I suppose it's a first time for Fiji. For the other two teams too? I remember an U-17 WWC Costa Rica played as the hosts, but I am not sure about the U-20 level.
And the fifth UEFA slot will be indeed decided by a play-off between Austria and Iceland who finished 3rd in their group at the last u-19 Euros.
