You just know they will delay it to the very last day of transfer window.

Alex Sandro was signed in 2015 to a five-year contract. Bar a few years early on where he was very good, he was not good for the remainder of his tenure. There was no need to renew the contract, period. They should have offloaded him, with Chelsea being a suitor, when they had the chance.

I agree that Tek was a "reliable" keeper. But why would you give a keeper that we agree is reliable, not world class, among the top wages in Italy?

The critique wasn't necessarily aimed at Giuntoli, even though I think it's fair to say that the jury is still very much out on him. There is nothing wrong about critiquing the way this club has been run since Marotta was discarded.

I asked about attackers. You named just Vlahovic and Milik. Who else? Is that not on Giuntoli? Chiesa may or may not play. They discarded a young, promising player in Soule. Kostic apparently has been discarded from the group. Kean, who we agree sucks, is gone--basically the only move I can praise Giuntoli for in the attack. We're going to go in the season with two strikers, an unproven Yildiz, and no other wingers, unless we sign Gonzalez?

I'm not asking you to be the defender of everything that Giuntoli or this board does. That said to question those of us who have reasonable criticism of the moves or lack thereof, c'mon man.

Had him at Ajax and he's really just a one trick pony with little up side. He's light weight as well. Juve can spend the money better than him.

Looks like he may go to Roma when Dybala goes to saudi.

Giuntoli did some good some bad. The negativity they created around Chiesa situation is really bad. Could have been better. What makes it worse is its not like we have money or better options in attack.

if we replaced Chiesa with better players sure but we are going for SUPER average players that still require fees to pay. Did we really save money? Sounds like we are paying more.

unless midfield and defense start scoring our attack is gonna be super thin.

Yeah he could have taken the offer last spring and avoided all end ram and fought for a place. Now he is behind the 8 ball.

Chiesa should have done the same, but it may be too late for him now.

This may be why Weston could be re-integrated now that he has seen sense on his contract:

I said it…this management dont know what they’re doing. Look at this McK Chiesa situation completely mishandled. We got another 8-10 players without destination and 3-4 to buy already.

ya keep Yappin to these journalists…at this point we’ve just become meat for vultures.

more social media signings than actual players lol

    Happens every single year.
Juve has ties to every player on the planet and ends up signing a couple.

It's important to stay focused on what they have actually done and less so to the rumors.

By most accounts, Motta was a good hire. The majority of us wanted Allegri gone so hopefully that works out.

In goal, I see the Di Gregorio as a keeper who may work out to Szczesny at best. The latter has been a long time international keeper who has played for big clubs and has been reliable. Di Gregorio isn't that. So there we're lucky if we have the same quality keeper.

Defensively, we have lost Alex Sandro (thankfully). We added Cabal who is largely unknown. It's hard to say how that's going to work but I'm sure he can't be worse than Sandro. We're basically unchanged defensively. If we get Kalulu, he's a depth buy. He's not better than Bremer, and I'm not sure he's better than Gatti.

The big departure in midfield was Rabiot, a man who basically lived off his reputation the majority of the time he was here. We bring in Luiz, someone who should contribute right away, and Thuram, someone who will likely play but isn't quite the finished product. I'm not going to comment on these alleged transfers we've heard about all summer with guys like Koopmeiners, because I'm not confident they will happen. We have a game on Monday FFS and they are not done yet. To me, at best, we made marginal improvements in midfield. It could be decent if Thuram shows he can play right away and if we are further strengthened by Fagioli having a full season and continuing his development.

The attack concerns me. They sell off Soule who may have been able to help this club. I was never a huge Iling fan, but there was another departure. It was nice to get Kean off the books--but they haven't signed ANYBODY! Not to mention they have alienated Chiesa and told Kostic he is not a part of the project. Then this nonsense in giving Yildiz the #10 shirt as if now he is going to become Del Piero, Baggio or Platini!? Ridiculous. We had a weak attack as is. We go into next season with a lesser one.

So far the transfer market has been less than impressive and I'm not sure we improved this squad much, if at all.
