No, but given he's one of the 8 names on the list, he can see the writing on the wall. It always was a dumb pickup.
Also, you just know Chiesa, low-key as the kids these days say, was hoping Juve would lose to Atleti in Sweden.
His name was on the list to be loaned out, so he could get playing time. Now he's asking to be outright sold.

Being loaned out with the intent of getting a player regular playing time to recover, and not being wanted like Chiesa, McKennie, Kostic, etc. are two different things.
Juventus are in talks with Genoa for Christos Papadopoulos, a 2004-born attacking midfielder. If the deal goes through, the player would join the NextGen.[@DiMarzio]— Juventus News Live (@juvenewslive) August 12, 2024
Thats the player’s problem and not Juve. We dont gain anything by teaching them a life lesson. All we should care about is our own situation and what works best for us at the moment. whether we like it or not we need Chiesa and time is of the essence. Another thing to consider is inflation, we signed Chiesa before covid and things have changed. But whatever it is its a contract we offered him when we signed we should stick to it. We cant keep handing out contracts then expect the players to play nice and reduce it later. We should assume the player is gonna run the contract out. we about to do it again, we give away 5yr contracts maybe we should do 2 + option to extend 1 more (with some of these back ups at least) For example we pay Djalo 3.7m and he hasnt even played a min. Thats higher than what we pay McK who had a good season. These things just dont make sense.
The players problem IS Juve's problem though, it's why he doesn't want to sign a contract extension. Juve has made it explicitly clear that they're trying to lower the salaries of the players. Chiesa wants more, understandable as all players do, but at the end of the day he needs to realize he hasn't earned more and he's not getting the offers from anywhere else. Sign a one year extension, then if you perform well ask for another extension. As you say, it's a business. Juve's treating it as one. Djalo is making €2.5 million a season. Juve paid €3.6 million for the transfer.
It is both sides issue but Juve shut down the negotiations door in the middle of Euros and his wedding. They didnt really give him a chance to comeback and talk. this stuff created distraction for Chiesa and Italy NT as well. Im sure it affected his Euros, not their problem. i just dont like this propaganda our club pushes to create a narrative. They havent offered him a contract and just closed the door. They need to sit with him one more time and figure it out. The efforts to sell him was never gonna work anyway. Im sure he has backdoor deal with Marotta or Milan or someone else to get scooped by in Winter for Free.
Net is how it's reported in Italy. Djalo is €2.5 and McKennie's is €2.7 million. McKennie wanted at least €3.2 million to renew, Juve was offering €2.5 million.
Juve didn't offer him a contract because every time they went to try to meet with his agent, he kept putting it off. Ramadani overplayed his hand. It's why his dad is trying to get involved. Classic case of FAFO.
Except for Juve are ********ed as well. It's not like we're Real Madrid winning Champions League every year where we can afford to tell him to ******** off. We don't even compete for the scudetto anymore. While I take your point about Chiesa overplaying his hand, we can't be under any illusions that we are negotiating from a place of strength. This team is underwhelming at the moment to say the least and we need to reinforce ASAP if we don't want to throw away yet another season. This went from being arguably the best run club in Europe under Marotta to among the worst run in Italy in a relatively short period.

We’ve been hearing ManU since before the Euros started. It’s a week before the season starts. I’m sure he’ll sign for someone, but if you have a guy that’s free and he’s still not signed that signals that there are issues with his demands. He’d probably be on a team already if he was more reasonable.

He’s 30 and let’s not act like he’s a Cannavaro, he’s not even a Gatti. He’s not starting material for Juve, a bench player at best.
🚨 | Kalulu is at Melia with the team. His agents are finalizing the agreement with Juventus, green light expected today. #Juventus [@86_longo]— Juventus News Live (@juvenewslive) August 13, 2024
