If it works out hopefully that is a good move. However, we have sold off 3 young CBs recently, all of which have become fixtures on their national teams, and we are stuck with an aging Danilo, a good Bremer and a wildly inconsistent Gatti. Any of the 3 we sold are better than Gatti and would have been here for 8-10 years, unlike Danilo. So yeah, I am questioning always selling our young talent just to make a profit in order to bring in older guys with maybe more experience if they clearly are not top class players. Of the group we have now only, Bremer would possibly crack the lineup of any vintage Juve defense. The 3 we sold would have a better chance than what we are left with.
Who are the 3 CBs? Demiral and who else? Romero never played for Juve. Huijsen played one game. I wouldn't say Huijsen is better than Gatti. Demiral? I don't rate him much higher than Gatti tbh. Danilo's replacement is Todibo. We also have Gonzales who seems to be impressing Motta and he's pretty young.
I think Juve fans just need to accept we are a selling club. We dont keep players long term anymore, unless its by force or some dumb contract extension. Dont get attached to any players because for the right amount we’ll sell.
🚨 | ‼️ Juventus closed the deal for Todibo : tomorrow the OK from Nice for the loan, then the focus on Koopmeiners. ❗McKennie's transfer fee, valued at 15mln plus bonuses a month ago, could be reduced by a couple of million. Various proposals will be considered, and McKennie is also of interest to Fiorentina, pending concrete talks between the two clubs.@AlfredoPedulla | #Juventus— Bianconeri Zone (@BianconeriZone) July 25, 2024
De Ligt, lol. A guy who left to Bayern to win the CL and ended up on the bench and then the transfer list this summer and is linked with Man U.
Yes, but why are they all touted as the future then? I don't watch other leagues so I have no idea what to expect from these players. Seems like juve fan sites (I'm NOT referring to here) are delighted with these moves. I guess more of our fans watch France's Ligue 1 than I imagined.
But its players (youth) we invested in only to do nothing with them. We buy players for long term but then plans change.
Bayern rotated enough that he played same amount as others. They also went further in CL (almost final with De Ligt goal being called off controversially) Juve has no place to talk about others failure and being wanted by ManUtd is still a top brand regardless of their recent results. at least he still has value than Gatti also you guys miss the point most of the time. I dont miss any of these players its about showing moves we make only to sell at barely any profit and go into next investment that wont result in much. Giuntoli remains to be seen but he’s basically put our entire team on clearance rack. He better be sure of these expensive bets he’s making and if we dont get results by next year hes gonna be in hot seat.
Romero sold for 16 Atalanta sold him for 55 Dragusin sold for 10 Genoa sold him 25 Demiral bought for 20 sold for 21
È fatta, accordo definito: #Soulé alla #Roma // Done deal, full agreement completed: Soulé joins AS Roma ⚪️⚫️🤝🟡🔴 @ilbianconerocom— Romeo Agresti (@romeoagresti) July 26, 2024
You're looking at some of them as just a one off, the Romero deal had another player involved. Atalanta also paid almost €2.5 million for his loan on top of the fee they paid for him. Dragusin was bought for €260,000 and he sold for €5.5 million, plus almost €2 million in bonuses that Genoa had to pay, plus there was a sell on fee for him as well so Juve made money from their sale to Spurs. Dragusin deal is also what got Juve Cambiaso as well. Demiral was bought for €18 million, Juve sold him for €20 million plus they received an additional €2 million from the 20% sell on fee they had agreed to with Atalanta. Juve bought him for €26 million, that was according to their own press release. They never paid the bonus to Genoa. Are you using transfermarkt for the prices? They're wildly unreliable and never paint the entire picture.
Its funny cause he always says fans think football is FIFA on playstation and hes the one that always has wildly inaccurate info and weirdest takes.
Huijsen will become a world clsss player. He has great attributes for his position and will be worth treble what Bournemouth are paying for him. We need to use the next gen team to feed our first team, not sell on our best players. That’s what the next gen is all about
We owned him. All but Huijsen are better than Gatti is right now, and all have a lot more ahead of them in their careers than Danilo. Huijsen could end up there as well, but obviously we won't wait.
Sounds like we are stocking Fiorentina's roster on the cheap: Kean, Weston and Rugani. Colpani will help Palladino. 10 million for Weston? Wonder what they will pay him. Certainly not what he wanted from us: https://football-italia.net/fiorentina-target-mckennie-rugani-juventus/
The sell on fee will prove to be useful because as far as I see Huijsen is can't-miss. "Next Gen" is proving to be a Misnomer. @Daei_10 is right about Romero. Who was the other player and did it make up the monetary difference that Atalanta made when they sold him to Tottenham? Likely no. Hate him but Cuti is world class. Demiral is better than Gatti, IMO. At worst, even.
you didnt prove any of my points wrong. we dont know how to sell and maximize our profits. Whats the point of doing all these transactions and go through attrition of brining up new players just to let them go…and cycle continues, no wonder we have a team with No chemistry.
Whats inaccurate about my numbers? Ok maybe half mil or 1 mil difference. The point flies over your head as usual. Its about being a team of revolving door of players that come and go where we cant build identity. At least IF we cashed in on big fees like others it make sense but we just go through motions of buying selling almost Equal or lesser exchange.
There is no way Dragusin is better than Gatti. Demiral is on par with Gatti. Romero is better than Gatti.
I think losing McKennie will hurt, the rest are surplus. Kean is atrocious and getting the amount they did for him was amazing.
