Despite all the soccer tournaments going on this Summer, the big guns are still coming to our neck of the woods to take our hard earned money. Here is what's known so far. June 2024 Detroit City vs Pumas – June 22, 7 PM – Detroit, MI July 2024 DC United vs Celtic – July 20, 7:30 PM – Washington DC Manchester City vs Celtic – July 23, time TBD – Chapel Hill Chelsea vs Wrexham – July 24, time TBD – Santa Clara, CA MLS All-Stars vs Liga MX All-Stars – July 24, 8 PM – Columbus, OH Liverpool vs Real Betis – July 26, 7:30 PM – Pittsburgh, PA Chelsea vs Celtic – July 27, 10 AM – South Bend, IN Manchester City vs Milan – July 27, time TBD – New York, NY Columbus vs Aston Villa – July 27, 8 PM – Columbus, OH Arsenal vs Manchester United – July 27, 5 PM – Inglewood, CA Manchester City vs Barcelona – July 30, time TBD – Orlando, CA Manchester United vs Real Betis – July 31, time TBD – San Diego, CA Arsenal vs Liverpool – July 31, 7 PM – Philadelphia, PA Chelsea vs Club America – July 31, 7 PM – Atlanta, GA Real Madrid vs AC Milan – July 31, time TBD – Chicago, IL August 2024 Man United vs Liverpool – August 3, 7:30 PM – Columbia, SC Real Madrid vs Barcelona – August 3, time TBD – East Rutherford, NJ Manchester City vs Chelsea – August 3, time TBD – Columbus, OH Barcelona vs AC Milan – August 6, time TBD – Baltimore, MD Real Madrid vs Chelsea – August 6, time TBD – Charlotte, NC So MLS is only playing in 2 of these - DC United vs Celtic and Columbus vs Aston Villa. The ASG seems to be back to USA vs Liga MX (which seems to be a good format). Other interesting matches: Manchester City vs Celtic at Kenan Stadium, as another historic college football ground gets to experience some soccer action. UPDATE: This is actually the second time after Chelsea vs Wrexham last year. Liverpool vs Betis in Pittsburgh - not much big soccer action there. Chelsea vs Celtic will be at Notre Dame stadium. El Classico is coming to the home of the world cup final in Jersey And this isn't a club friendly but could be big - Mexico is taking on Brazil at Kyle Field. Capacity: 102,733. If it sells out, and it surely will, that will be a record attendance for Mexico in the US. The all time soccer record attendance in the USA is Manchester United vs Real Madrid at the Big House - 109,318. I am guessing that will stay the record forever.
Oh and another big one is Manchester City vs Chelsea as it will be at Ohio Stadium with a potential 100k+ attendance.
Wrexham to face Bournemouth and Whitecaps on 'Wrex Coast Tour' Wrexham have added fixtures against Bournemouth and Vancouver Whitecaps to their preseason "Wrex Coast Tour," the Welsh club announced Thursday. Having previously confirmed a match against Chelsea on July 24 in Santa Clara, California, Wrexham will now face Bournemouth four days earlier on July 20, in Santa Barbara, and the Whitecaps in Vancouver on July 27.
It was built for the D2 football team that was discontinued decades ago, so now it's the soccer stadium.
If or when Leagues Cup is no more it would be nice if MLS made room for the league to halt for 1 or 2 weeks so MLS teams can schedule friendlies with European teams during their preseason tours. Every single MLS team during the week "break" vs some Euro or even South American popular teams.

Yikes. Dc United 0 - Celtic 4 CelticFC vs DC UNITED. The pitch is a absolute disgrace... hope none of the lads get injured here pic.twitter.com/bY3Xf1QlQb— Señor citizen (@WakeUp124ever) July 20, 2024 Double yikes.
Wrexham 1 - Bournemouth 1 in front of a sold out crowd in Santa Barbara, CA which I think means 17k. That's a big crowd for that matchup in a town 90 miles outside l.a. Edit official attendance 13,322
Wrexham women lost 1-6 to tigress u23 women. Guess Welsh professional women's soccer isn't quite ready for primetime.
Considering that Wrexham are only #3 in the country and no Welsh women's champion has ever advanced past the first preliminary round of the Champions League... Yeah, not surprising they've got a ways to go.
I guess there is no all star game thread this year for the first time? It was a dark day in all star history as liga mx crushed MLS 4-1.
Wrexham 2 - Chelsea 2 in Santa Clara. Very successful USA tour for wrexham, tying 2 premiere League teams. 32,724 in attendance.
