HOLY COW! Do we deserve to be going to the final? Who cares... that's where we're going!!

In the playoffs we've had belief and resilience and a bit of offensive efficiency. Like tonight, one fantastic FK by John Tolkin which Andrees Reyes aggressively got on the end of it.

    BIG CONGRATS BOYS!

I listened to the last minute of our 1-0 win. Andres Reyes scored the only goal in the 47th. According to Flash Score, it was our only shot on goal, and Orlando dominated statistics with 60 percent of possession, more shots 9 to 7, more shots on goal 3 to 1, more free kicks 20 to 9, and more corner kicks 5 to 2. Los Angeles Galaxy vs. Seattle will determine who hosts the Final.

Good luck in MLS Cup from a fellow original.

I traveled to the ‘08 MLS Cup. After the game, we were on a red eye back to Ohio. I will never forget that in a fate of cruel luck, a Metrostars fan was in the seat next to us. I hope your boys win it for her.

Well, I’m shocked and stunned they made it this far. I figured they’d be bounced in the first round. And now I have hope they’ll do what’s never been done before by this club.
It’s the hope that kills you.

Will Apple TV have any free viewing for the MLS final??? Do I need to register in advance? If not available, how do I listen? Is that through the website?

MLS Cup presented by Audi will be broadcast live in Times Square in the heart of New York City on December 7 at 4 p.m. ET on screens displayed on SILVERCAST Media’s high-definition “Mega-Zilla,” a Times Square spectacular with a 78-foot by 330-foot monster digital TV display.

Even Silver made a return, we are calling up all the retired greats.

We have been mediocre at best all season. It's nice to have something to cheer for.

Yes I believe you'll be able to watch the final on Apple TV even without an MLSSP subscription (someone can verify that?). And I also believe it will be broadcast on FOX, the flagship channel, which may still be one of those major channels available free via antenna. ;)

Riqui Puig is gonna be out with a torn ACL, so there's that.

I'm wondering if there's any chance Carballo could be fit for the final. All I heard was that he had a "foot injury" and could not make the squad in Orlando. If he could be 90% fit, I'd probably choose him over Stroud. No offense Peter, but you kinda scared me a few times last match.

I mean you normally want to play your opponents at full strength so there's no excuses but I am not sad by this information either.

Stroud should stay on the bench as an option if Carballo is not fully ready to go the whole game

Can I just say that @Deadtigers jumped the gun by one year in naming 2023's thread "This is our year lads!"

Nice to see you're ahead of the curve mate.

And in other news, have there been any reports on Carballo's injury/recovery? I watched Schwarz's presser from the last day or two, and there was zero discussion of player fitness.

For reasons already stated, I'm nervous about Stroud+Edelman as our CM duo.

This is the day guys. Not sure what to say. Just want to get on with the proceedings.

In our infinite wisdom, we decided to host my daughter's friends for a holiday party about a month ago, since there was no way that we'd be playing today... I hope the parents are soccer fans.

Ha! Yeah we made previous plans to host some neighbors tonight. I never dreamed I’d have this conflict. I asked if we can push them back to 7PM which hopefully will be safe enough. As we should have hoisted the cup well before then!

I’m just listening to Sandro’s presser from yesterday, and the news I’ve heard, so far is:

Nealis has been in full team training and is fit to play.

Carballo is very questionable. He hasn’t been training with the team yet, only doing individual sessions. Not a good sign, at least for him being able to start. So I guess Stroud it is.

Same XI as last time. Ladies & Gentlemen, good luck!

    LET'S DO THIS!!!!

Edit: Oops, not quite true. Reyes goes out sick minutes before KO and Eile replaces him. Oh boy.
