Nah, he was an attacking player who averaged less than one goal per season. He had one good season.

And yet he will be remembered as the greatest coach in Quakes history. No foresight on the selection committee? :)

Don't want to foreshadow too hard. Keep 'em guessing.

Quakes Exclusive Episode 15 features Kelly Gray, Danger, and Tommy Thompson. The focus was on the 50 greatest list and Kelly Gray seemed to imply that TT was on the list . If so, heads are going to explode in here. TT just said that it was an honor to be the 1st homegrown and that kind of stuff. He didn't say a whole lot. They then talked about certain players that they thought were great or influential on the team, mostly Danger talking about NASL guys and Kelly talking about 2000's era guys. One guy TT called out was Clarence Goodson, who didn't make the list I don't think.

Not sure but I think this is the running list. Latest on there is Ingram.

Of course we won't know for a while until they get to the T's, but Kelly Gray's exact words were: "So, we've gotta talk about this .... the 50 greatest players in Earthquakes history, 2 of which I'm lucky enough to sit with right now".

Seems pretty clear unless he was just including TT as someone who might be considered, and he's just kind of charitably including him? But it's also likely that Kelly Gray, as club liaison or whatever he is, knows who's on the (whole) list.

Nice footage of Bruce Morgan - the original SJ physio. He was an interesting person - definitely had his quirks. I saw him at the 20th anniversary of the 2001 season and he'd aged a whole lot. Of course, I'm sure he'd say the same about me! I remember he checked me out once before a Clash or Quakes game for a pulled hamstring that was hampering me - I was playing for Santa Clara Sporting >35 at the time.

Nick Lima was traded for $500k in Garber bucks only 4 years ago. The revisionist history from the FO is astonishing.

Tommy Thompson should have went with him.

Nick Lima has found a home in New England with Porter after being basically chased out of Austin with pitch forks.

Wasn't it Almeyda who didn't like Lima and vice versa?

If TT is on the list it is an insult to all the others on it.

I will continue to bite my tongue on TT as I've done for what seems like a decade. I hope he makes it on likeability.

As I’ve posted before, but most of you apparently didn’t read it, the general criteria are the following, as posted on the Quakes site. It’s not all about on-field performance.

“The honorees were nominated by the fans earlier this season and were selected based on their on-field performance, impact on the organization and support for the local community.”

If TT is announced I for one am going to enjoy the glorious sounds of heads exploding in here.
