Wow. The only yellow of the game was for Crooks delaying a restart at 98'

 

That was a pathetic set of PK’s. Zero confidence. Crooks was amazing all game and then puts it over the bar. Diogo took his PK with the same energy he put in the second half. Luna walking up to the spot reminded me of Velazquez: big pressure moment for a young player. At least we qualified for Champions Cup…

 

Luna's take wasn't bad. He did forecast it, but that was actually a great save.

 

Fitting end to the season

Do you shop him or hope he regains his confidence during the offseason? Are we looking at the same situation as when Sabo left and we couldn’t find a true goal scorer to replace him?

My bigger question is what to do with Diogo? Crooks has been the better option between the two but you can’t pay Diogo DP money and keep him as a backup. Diogo isn’t a winger, so does the formation change back to a 4-4-2 in order to get Crooks, Diogo, and Luna on the field at the same time? Can Ojeda be as effective in that formation without the double pivot?

Five players missed PKs in the two games, so no one needs to shoulder the blame by themselves. We stunk it up collectively.

 

4/9 on our PKs. Less than 50%, that is truly pathetic.

 

Not to mention they got Unkel'd. He won't do anything that appears to help RSL and it always comes back to hurt RSL in the end. Really frustrating.
