Curtin would be a great coach for the Revs. Develop young soccer players that get sold off for decent money. Perfect coach for the Krafts.

And Vrabel might be a perfect coach for the Pats - but the Krafts are stuck giving their new hires a fair chance to turn their teams around.

They could switch horses for either team, but it's a bad precedent to hire/fire so quickly. That kind of institutional patience is one of the Krafts better attributes IMO.

Setting a precedent or a one-off outlier? I'd argue the precedent that has already been set is to give too much time to these hires.

Whether is was Einstein or Rita Mae Brown: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Atlanta United sells their 2 best players and knocks Miami out of the playoffs. Didn't see too many Atlanta players in awe of Messi or folding like a tent at the first sign of adversity. Kind of puts our pathetic performances vs Miami in better perspective.

As I said in another recent post, the silence out of Foxborough is deafening.

One tidbit to be thankful for, in a season with virtually nothing else to celebrate.

Add Sartini to the list of managers fired by MLS clubs this year who I'd rather have than Porter

The NY Red Bulls are the lowest seed (7th) ever to make MLS Cup. This is their second trip to the Cup, but first ever Eastern Conference Championship, as they won the Western Conference (as a wild card coming over from the East) in 2008, losing to Columbus in MLS Cup.

Do I want LA to win their sixth MLS Cup? No.
Do I want NYRB to win their first? No.

Gotta go with the meteor option here... ;)

Excl | Aaron #Opoku has reached a verbal agreement with @stlCITYsc
25 y/o striker from Kaiserslautern keen to join the MLS club in January. Have already received an offer worth €250-350k in transfer fees.

Sources: San Jose Earthquakes are in preliminary talks to sign USMNT forward Brandon Vazquez from Monterrey. Talks are preliminary, nothing advanced. A couple other MLS teams interested in Vazquez as well.

Sources: Diego Gomez has arrived in England to complete his transfer to Brighton from Inter Miami. Gomez, 21, joins Brighton for an initial fee of $15m (can go north of $18m w/ add-ons). It's one of the largest outbound transfers in MLS history.

    SDFC Expansion draft is tomorrow:

2024 MLS Expansion Draft: Eligible players & how to watch

Looks like Revs only exposed players they have already released:

    New England unprotected list:
Although I wouldn't be shocked if SD took a flyer on Tim Parker (he did score the first goal for STL's expansion side).

Columbus did not protected DeJuan Jones.

    MLS Transfers @MLSTransfers · 16h
Some things to keep an eye on this offseason: - Red Bull planning on selling John Tolkin in January. Isn’t short of options: Anderlecht, Bundesliga, Championship. After 2+ years convincing him to stay with Red Bull, it’s time to move on
    MLS Transfers @MLSTransfers · 16h
    - PSV leads race for Jack McGlynn. Others in Spain including Real Sociedad and Championship. Will be interesting to assess what his ceiling is. Some think he’s limited physically, others think his technical ability should be enough to have a solid career.
