Leagues Cup is scrapping the one-month break. More mid-week games to come! This is going to be brutal for travel for some teams (especially Mexican teams), playing in the US midweek, and then back home on the weekends ... back and forth. Also, only 18 MLS teams will participate.

DC to trade their Designated Player to Atlanta ... with a caveat. He'll still take up a DP roster spot in DC. I think this is DC admitting they made a mistake.

FC Dallas @FCDallas ·18h Bolstering the backline We have signed free agent defender Lalas Abubakar to a two-year contract with a one-year club option.
I mentioned it on another thread, but here was the GAM available as of 12/10 to all teams. Atlanta, Revs and STL were the top 3, but this is obviously prior to the possible Yuiell buydown and Campana trade.
Philadelphia Union @PhilaUnion Bolstering the backline We've acquired center back Ian Glavinovich from Newell’s Old Boys on a one-year loan with a club option to permanently transfer. From Tom Bogert - BREAKING: Austin FC are finalizing a deal to sign USMNT forward Brandon Vazquez from CF Monterrey, per sources. Fee is north of $6m plus add-ons, I'm told. Vazquez will travel to complete the transfer. If all goes smooth, Vazquez will be Austin FC's new DP No. 9.
Reds Bulls get a Polish striker (not Buksa): https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/new-york-red-bulls-sign-polish-striker-wiktor-bogacz
If my estimates are correct (and last year's MLS Roster Rules still apply), we're looking at $6.5M of GAM space, 1 free DP (and international) spot and 2 U-22 spots. Maybe I'm just feeling optimistic, but is there a large move coming?
Ferreira trade to Seattle finalized. $1.5M GAM plus up to $800k in incentives, Leo Chu, and 1 INTL slot. When the chips fall this will be heavily compared to the Campana deal for who over paid for what when it comes to intraleague striker moves this offseason https://www.soundersfc.com/news/sou...-ferreira-in-blockbuster-trade-with-fc-dallas
Looks like Seattle signed Paul Arriola as well Tom Bogert @tombogert · 14h Sources: Seattle Sounders deal to sign Paul Arriola from FC Dallas is done.
Revs desperately needed strikers, so they go out and get Campana (who I am excited about, but has never scored more then 11 goals in an MLS season) and a French rehab project. Meanwhile, Bruce goes out and gets Chicho Arango (3 MLS seasons with 14+ goals), and is close to signing Josef Martinez....
Josef is kind of washed, relative to his peak, but Chicho is a huge get (assuming he can stay on the field). Was legit the front runner for MVP last year through June. Add in the Jesus Ferreira deal and youll have 3 trades that will be compared when it comes to who did right this offseason
