The camera angle from the far side of the goal was perfect, you could see the defender's expression drop as he raised his hands in dismay at making such a perfect pass to Chicho. Chicho again! Unmarked on the corner, 3-0 RSL.
Bakrar, unmarked, 12 yards out puts his shot wide. That's really the second time all a NYC player had to do was put the ball on target and they missed.
This is a Real Salt Lake team with all four of its center backs out injured. Two fullbacks starting at CB instead. We thought Pablo Mastroeni was just being a rah-rah guy when he claimed it was fine and we were going for the full three points rather than adjusting somehow.
Joining the thread in progress... have there been any instances of players being forced to stay on the sidelines due to the new rules yet?
Maybe he can do a commercial like that kid -- what was his name ... Brian something or the other ,,,, -- who was described in the commercial as a highly ranked kid in the US. We used to make fun of that commercial here nearly 20 years ago.
Not that I have seen. There was talk about that with Diego Gomez of Maimi, but he was already off the field so it would not have applied. Then, ultimately, he was injured badly enough that he had to be subbed immediately. Things may not be good for him.
I love how after Lassiter scores, his defender throws up his hand for an offside call. Of course when you see the goal, the defender had his back turned to Lassiter when the shot was taken. He had no idea where Lassiter was for him to be calling for an offside.
