PBP: 2024 MLS Season PBP Thread Week 25 September 18 - 22 {R}

First time I watched the Rapids this year, he really stood out.

 

LAFC also have two games in hand over LA, but they would need to win out and have the Galaxy slip up. LAFC winning out is looking a bit unlikely right now, especially with an away match at Cincy.

 

LAFC's last two trips to Ohio (Columbus, specifically) have not been fruitful experiences for the team.

 

They've also only won once in their last 8 MLS games.

 

Hopefully Montreal fans are enjoying being in a playoff position right now, because they won't be there after today's game. Philly will go 9th with a win or draw, while DC will go 9th if they win.


Here's my concern about the Sounders: against teams in the top 7 of either conference, the Sounders are 1-5-6. That one win was against Columbus, who played half the game with a field player in goal. Otherwise, their wins over teams in playoff positions have been against #8 Portland, twice against #9 Minnesota and against #9 Montreal. The Sounders are 12-3-3 against teams below #7, but otherwise are not a real danger to advance beyond the first round in the playoffs.

Oh good grief. Dujuc is the ref. He's referee "However" from the CITY-Atlanta fiasco and the ref whom issued the dumb red card to Darren Yapi in the Rapids-Timbers match

 

FOX has not had the clock on screen for about 3:30 of the first five minutes.

It would seem that not marking a player lurking at the back post could be problematic.

 

I'm used to Dajome's name being butchered during every game, but Pirani appears to be getting the say it differently every mention treatment today.

Defense a shambles, but Lesesne hasn’t held players accountable for the untimely suspensions this season.

 

That last Philly chance happened with seven DC players in the box, mostly ball-watching.

 

Yeah. He doesn't know where he is.

 

DCU with all kinds of pressure but still when pushed outside the box they fail to go wide. Santos just stands about a foot from the ball-carrier and it leads to a TO. Pirani with his second half-chance. Lil dude on fire recently.
