It's another FIFA international window, and a few MLS teams are playing through! Have fun this week! As usual all game times are eastern. National broadcasts & Free games are listed. All games can be viewed using MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. Kickoff times can be found here. MLS N&A play by play threads are neutral spaces. Keep all rivalry-esque banter out of these parts. Bullying. personal attacks and/or trolling will not be tolerated. Saturday, September 7 CLB vs SEA 7:39PM NER vs STL 7:39PM RNY vs SKC 7:39PM CHI vs DCU 8:39PM HOU vs LAX 8:39PM VAN vs FCD 10:39PM
Seattle is quite fortunate on this one it seems. Columbus missing Cucho and Patrick Schulte, among about 4 others, while the Sounders will be missing Nouhou and Obed Vargas.
Two of these games are the result of postponements. The Houston-LAFC game was postponed due to thunderstorms prior to Hurricane Beryl from July 7. The Columbus-Seattle game was originally set for June 1 and was postoned for the Crew's involvment in the CCC final. The other 4 games were on the original schedule.
The list is long for Columbus, 5 starters plus both backup keepers. Callups: F Cucho (Colombia) RCB Moreira (Cape Verde Islands) RWB Farsi (Algeria) GK Schulte (USA) GK Hagen (Guatemala) F Russell-Rowe (Canada) Throw in: GK Bush (injury) LCB/LWB Amundsen (caution points) Down to the #4 keeper.
CITY fans are generous, so we're willing to trade Taylor Twellman for an announcer to be named later. (We'll even take Audi mom and Audi brat.)
Do you mean free like if I’ve never played it before I can get it and run a season without cost? or some other type of free. Like when the sale ends I have to start paying for it? Thx, jay!
Just a note if you go down this hole. FM '24 is the last of the "classic" style of Football Manager. The 2025 version that will be released in late November is the first after they move to the Unity engine and essentially rebuild the game from the ground up. They have already announced that a number of features (most significantly, international management) won't make the first rewrite but will be back in 2026. But on the plus side, they're adding women's football to the game for the first time.
Sounders starting 5 Seattle-born players: Morris Rothrock Atencio Ragen Baker-Whiting in addition to 2 Seattle-based college grads (the Roldans)
Today's absolutely inexplicable randomness: my next door neighbor just played the entire French national anthem rather loudly. He isn't French. Is there, like, something going on that maybe I should know about??? *shrug*
After 20 minutes, Seattle with no shots. Kind of significant in that Columbus's keeper has started only 4 MLS Next Pro games (if I heard correctly) and 0 MLS games until tonight.
And....just like that, Langoni ties it up for New England. Prosperity on the road continues to be elusive for STL...
STL fortunate not to be down...NE hits the post! I think a Revs lead is inevitable. Maybe before halftime?
Columbus's keeper is down. They have no replacement for him. He took out Morris (who is still down as well) outside of the box. Announcers suggesting VAR will be having a look.
I see red, people. Columbus has no backup goalie. Will have to use a field player for the rest of the game.
I was out back when the play happened but Mrs. Ismitje hollered for me to come in to watch the replay and follow along as Romero's near future played out. Amazing. Mike Magee time?
