Well, that came out of nowhere. Slack marking in the box allows Patrickson Delgado to equalize in what looked like a non-dangerous situation.
Penalty! Paes appears to take down Joveljic with the ball already past him. Joveljic seen playing rock-paper-scissors with someone off-screen. Looks like he lost, because Pec takes the penalty. Pec's shot is saved, his shot on the rebound is saved again, and Joveljic puts the ball in the net, only to be called offside. VAR is reviewing it.
Paes is getting bombarded for the third game in a row including last week's Open Cup game, and standing on his head. He just made a save he had no business making, and of course he's already stopped both a penalty and the follow-up shot.
I don't know why I keep being surprised when I see Liam Fraser playing for FC Dallas. I keep associating him with Toronto even though he last played for them three years ago and played fewer than half of his MLS games for them.
Nobody noted it here, but Houston beat Colorado 3-1. With at least one questionable goal (the 2nd for Houston, offside attacker in contact with Steffen when the shot is taken, almost always a given interference call usually). Not that it mattered, the Rapids were not good.
