What the hell is going on? Much like CD 92.9 was in danger of ceasing for good until their owner announced they would continue as a stream, I'm stepping in to be "Interim League Commissioner" (LOL) for BS Crew Fantasy League to try to keep this ol' girl going. Why should I do this? It's easy! It's fun! It's competitive! It's free!! What do I do? Go to majorleaguesoccersoccerdotcom, click on the three dots at the top, then on "gaming," then on MLS Fantasy 2024, then on "Play now." There are two leagues. The BigSoccer Crew Open League has a weekly tally and season standings for total points on the season thus far. The BigSoccer Crew H 2 H league is a head-to-head competition in which each week you face a dreaded BS foe to see which of the two of you can score the most points on the week and earn the prized three points in the standings. (Unless you decide to kiss your sister and get 1 point each.) Sign up for both for twice the fun!! How do I play? Each week, you get to pick your roster. It's reasonably self explanatory. I figured it out two years ago by trial-and-error. If I can do it, you can too! (And quicker and better!) You can change your roster weekly, or "set it and leave it" and see how your team does (which is what will happen if you forget to update your roster or don't update it by the week's deadline, which varies based on the schedule.) Try to pick players who do not suck, or players who are injured, as you will get fewer points towards your weekly standings. What can I win? The pride of beating other BigSoccer Crew stooges in a meaningless game and the respect (or disdain) of your fellow league opponents! Isn't that worth it? What can I expect from the league commissioner? Not a damn thing! What do I look like, an entertainer? I'll probably post some standings, commentary, and derisive remarks from time to time. I'm not the graphically gifted type like @DOGSO and @SLSHOT01 (and the late, great KHT Crew), but I'll post some memes, and maybe even gifs! FUN! When is the first deadline? Lockout times vary by week, depending when the first match of the "week" is for that "week." So, for this opening week, [checks schedule] OH, SHIT! There's a match tomorrow night! If you don't get your roster submitted in time, you can still play, but you won't be able to create/change your roster until the "window" opens again, which is usually the Monday after a Sunday game. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!? GET SIGNED UP NOW OR GET FUKT!
Question for outgoing commissioner @SLSHOT01-- In the current Open League I've created, 20 people have signed up, but 13 of them are NOT Crew people--I'm assuming they're just randos who latched onto our league. Can I just give them the ax? Also, last year, it was easier to tell who was who from our board. This year, not so much. Invalid Entry is me. Go Crew 1996 is @GoCrew1996. Miami-RSL kicks off the season tonight. We got home late from futsal last night so we worked on the team past TEN... and we are going to work on the team more when I get home. This morning, Markus was starting to nerd out about stats, which was pretty damn cool.

Thank you, oh wise one. There is now more room in the BigSoccer Crew Open League. There were beaucoup randos in the Open League that filled it to capacity, so I just booted like 14 non-Crew people out. Still several "Crew" people that I suspect aren't BS Crew people. I'll give people a chance to identify themselves here.

Hey. Did anyone else not know about "double week game players" until last night around thirty minutes prior to the Miami-RSL game? Anyone else?
I realized it a little earlier than that. I'm annoyed that I couldn't figure out how to change my formation before the game.
Sub out a midfielder for a defender, or what combo you want. There are minimum requirements though per position.
