I steer my favor towards the Metrostars wining their first Cup over either of those teams out of the West. Perhaps the second time is the charm for NYNJ if they play in LA’s stadium.
Well, if the Crew had to be knocked out of the playoffs, at least it was done by the Eastern Conference Champions. It helps to take some of the sting out of the situation.
And if Red Bull manage to win the cup, this will be like deja vu from 2009 and 2010, where The Crew get upset in the first round of the playoffs by the eventual MLS Cup Champion. (RSL in 2009 and Colorado in 2010)

Just confirmed by the Galaxy on X. Riqui pulled a Zawadski and played a fair bit of the second half with a torn acl, serious kudos to him. I wish him a speedy recovery, the league is less entertaining without him. That boy is a mad genius. My sympathies to the Galaxy too, that’s a cruel blow.
Frankie Hejduk did the same—played the second half of a match on a torn ACL. It was in 2006–he didn’t play in the WC in Germany because of it.
When I tore mine, it was an immediately debilitating injury. No way in the world I could have continued to play. Wow.
Correct me if I'm wrong but Jimmy and dee refused to pay for the supporters bus to cincy last year? I'm told the New York Red Bulls front office bought 700 tickets for the official supporter groups for MLS Cup.RBNY are also offering any of those 700 a $300 travel reimbursement to help with flight/lodging. The club is sending entire front office tooAwesome gesture 👏🏼👏🏼— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) December 3, 2024
