It turned into an entertaining Cup match after all.

Congrats to LA, that was a fun, if occasionally comical, watch as a neutral.

    Are we sure about that?

I don’t see DC United having a 30 point swing and winning MLS Cup next season. Maybe if we chop our HC like the metros did to him last season we could make some noise in the playoffs like RBNY did this one.

Yup, I've seen so many worse finals in my life. This turned into a real match. Not supreme quality, but a good game.

Best game of the playoffs was Atlanta v Messi game 3.

For the 11th time, a second place team wins the Cup. (First place teams have won the Cup 9 times.)

I really tried to enjoy this match, I really did.

I even used bourbon, but alas...

He wasn't supposed to take the mic.

Phil hogging the mic… meh, hes named after the damn trophy.. he and a few sparse others kept the league going.. have your say old man..

Brugman with MVP… Id say Garces, man put out lots of fires.

Apple commentary was serviceable.. the redundancy of the “Reyes” story was grating.. I appreciate his tactical insight a bit more

heart attack type game as always..

Galaxy look convincing champs just as they look likely an early elimination… heres hoping more money goes into Red Cows project to perhaps get that crucial homefield advantage

8th to finish 2-1. 6 of the 8 featured an original team who had never won MLS Cup being on the losing side of that scoreline (the exceptions were the Crew losing in 2015 after having already won one and LAFC losing last year).

I thought the final game of the 2024 season was good. The first 20 minutes, I thought L.A. was going to storm to a victory of epic proportions, but the goal by Nealis changed the complexion of the match. After a brief off-season, it's back to the grind in February, 2025. Welcome aboard San Diego! It will be nice to have a season where everyone plays pretty much each week and no one has to sit out Decision Day and hope results go their way without having much to say about it because they happen to be the odd team that's idle.
