PBP: 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs First Round Game 3 PBP Thread {R}

I've grown to really dislike this Inter Miami team, so this was extremely fun to watch!

 

I think the 3 game series was set up to make sure the best teams advance and it completely failed at that.

Atlanta United is back! And as important as Miami is for MLS the team that can get 70k to a regular season is pretty important too.

 

LMAOL! Never thought Atlanta without DPs and getting into the play offs by luck would of eliminated Messi! Bet MLS is regretting those best of 3 lol

But here we are...hope Atlanta wins it all now.

 

An MLS team beat a team with Messi, Suarez, Busquets and Alba.

 

How could there be bigger? No team in MLS history had as many points as Miami.

 

Has a 20th placed Supporters Shield team ever knocked the team with the best record out of the playoffs before?

 

Playoff pressure is a different beast.

 

Playoff noobs like Messi and Suarez are no match for the battle-hardened Dax McCarty.

 

They get moments of magic from their DPs, but in between those moments it's some of the ugliest football and some of the most petulant behavior that MLS has seen in a decade or more.

Atlanta has pwned Miami throughout {Miami's} existence so far. It continues, even without Saba Time today. No coach? No DPs? Key starters collecting Social Security? No problem! Dax McCarty was the best 37-year-old on the pitch today, and it wasn't close. Bring on Orlando!

 

Well, they did beat them for the 3rd time this season. Something, something, had their number something.
