Atlanta played well against Miami in the first game as well, particularly considering it was their 3rd game in 6 days. And that was a fantastic save by Guzan.
Atlanta had it fairly deep in Miami's territory with lots of numbers in the middle of the field. One of the players decides to pass it back to their own half, even though there were plenty of options up the field, and the next thing you know Miami has the ball deep in Atlanta's territory.
Shenanigans! And a headed goal from the middle of the penalty area for Messi, which really should never happen. Poor from Atlanta.
Because he's lucky. I'd have carded Campana, and then I'd have carded Suarez for getting in Guzan's face beyond that.
lol Atlanta scores a goal while a Miami player lies on the field in the box for a minute after falling without being touched, so obviously not a head injury Miami 2-3 Atlanta
Atlanta re-takes the lead!!! Miami begging for play to be stopped instead of playing to the whistle, and they're facing elimination.
Ref didn't stop playing in a similar situation where an Atlanta player was down in/near the box with Miami attacking.
After the post-goal antics on Messi's goal, I have zero sympathy for Miami. Play to the damn whistle that's basic.
I'm surprised at how little Miami has used Robert Taylor lately. He's been outstanding every time I've seen him in the last season and a half.
Really good counter for Atlanta... except for the finish. Messi may get a yellow when this play ends.
MLS Cup hosting priority is as follows: 1. Miami 2. LAFC 3. LA Galaxy 4. Seattle 5. Orlando 6. Minnesota This means neither New York team nor Atlanta can host MLS Cup.
