Atlanta played well against Miami in the first game as well, particularly considering it was their 3rd game in 6 days.


And that was a fantastic save by Guzan.

 

Atlanta had it fairly deep in Miami's territory with lots of numbers in the middle of the field. One of the players decides to pass it back to their own half, even though there were plenty of options up the field, and the next thing you know Miami has the ball deep in Atlanta's territory.

And a headed goal from the middle of the penalty area for Messi, which really should never happen. Poor from Atlanta.

 

Watching Guzan get stuck in the net was worth it.

Florida doesn't deserve good things.

 

Ref didn't stop playing in a similar situation where an Atlanta player was down in/near the box with Miami attacking.

 

Wow! How far back did Slisz start that run? Never marked, no matter how far it was.

 

After the post-goal antics on Messi's goal, I have zero sympathy for Miami. Play to the damn whistle that's basic.

 

I'm surprised at how little Miami has used Robert Taylor lately. He's been outstanding every time I've seen him in the last season and a half.

Messi's free kick goes into the wall, Atlanta gets a 5v3 break and wastes it.

5. Orlando
6. Minnesota

This means neither New York team nor Atlanta can host MLS Cup.
