PBP: 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs First Round Game 3 PBP Thread {R}

With this years soccer overload , this is exactly what the MLS playoffs should have been.
This break would have allowed teams to get healthy and the league could have had a 2 week build up sort of like the Super Bowl.

LAFC made it through and despite being #1 seed, has to play #4 instead of #6??? Stupid.
I have no sympathy for MLS loosing the top 3 in the east and Miami in particular.

I jump over to the USL-C and see a very normal 4 round, single elimination, top seed all the way to the final. If you are going to have a post season cup, the reward for top seed is home field all the way. Anything less, is well, stupid.

 

Was shocked to see Louisville didn’t make the conference final this year. Quite the upset.

 

Guzan getting inexplicably shoved into the net after being scored on, followed by Suarez taunting him as Guzan's stuck in the net like an enraged tiger is going to live rent free in my head for a long while.

Can't wait for the next round of games!
