Here are the revised figures for the MLS conference semifinal games of November 23-24. New York City (vs. New York Red Bulls) 24,891 Los Angeles FC (vs. Seattle) 22,301 Orlando (vs. Atlanta) 25,046 Los Angeles Galaxy (vs. Minnesota) 26,192 WEEKEND TOTAL: 98,430 AVERAGE: 24,608 PLAYOFF TOTAL SO FAR: 619,209 AVERAGE (26 matches): 23,816
Surprised Orlando came up a little short of a sellout for this game. Great weekend with close to a 100K in attendance and some exciting games to watch. Doing the math and depending if Seattle can advance the final total will be around 700K for the playoffs.
Orlando City SC has announced that Inter&Co Stadium is officially sold out. Kick off for the match is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. A small amount of tickets remain for fans looking to become 2025 full Season Ticket Members. To become a 2025 STM, click here.
Getting closer to being able to cram enough people into our place to arrive at the long made up 27,000 capacity we claimed for about a decade, lol. Was a great and very packed atmosphere yesterday.
Reading about the stadium, it says capacity is 25,500. Maybe they round up? I left work yesterday right before the game started and the Orlando broadcast was the Sirius XM broadcast on ESPN FC and I heard the deals you mentioned including getting Apple MLS Season Pass for the rest of the playoffs and next years 2025 season.
According to the Orlando City website it was a sellout but not every seat was on sale. Seems somewhat silly. https://www.orlandocitysc.com/news/...-city-sc-s-eastern-conference-semifinal-match
MLS Conference Final attendances for November 30: Orlando (vs. New York Red Bulls) 25,046 Los Angeles Galaxy (vs. Seattle) 26,327 TOTAL: 51,373 AVERAGE: 25,687 PLAYOFF TOTAL: 670,582 AVERAGE: 23,949 (28 matches)
Did Atlanta set a permanent MLS Cup attendance record in 2018? No team plays in a stadium that big (except Atlanta themselves obviously).
@SetPeace I got these numbers from Reddit rather than Wikipedia, which uses Transfermkt, which I don't trust. Empty seats man. Copa was a disaster because there were visible seats despite it having the second highest average attendance in history and highest revenue on record.
Entering MLS Cup 2024 presented by Audi, @MLS' 2024 total attendance of more than 12.1 million fans ranks as the second most among all global soccer leagues, behind only the English Premier League. pic.twitter.com/SXOaY1BpR4— MLS Communications (@MLS_PR) December 5, 2024
We'll ignore the fact that most liberatores matches have tons of empty seats. Only copa was a disaster.
I don't share my opinion I only report on Twitter activity. Also, something WAS wrong with the atmosphere of most games. It didn't feel the same as it did in 2016.
