Nothing can pay for that much salary. It's sports washing and a vanity project for some sheikh. And yeah, the sheikh is probably paid via oil money :)

And that's after allowing women into stadiums (in segregated seating areas).

Also concert at forum, so all 3 Inglewood venues are in use for the first time. This is an Olympics trial run and it didn't look good earlier today. West l.a. to downtown reached almost an hour, 3 hours before the dodgers game.

ELO concert is the event at the forum.
David Gilmour concert is the event at the Intuit dome a mile away.
Between them is a high school football game with the black eyed peas performing at halftime.

Abs while this all sounds crazy, Halloween is crazier every year with 300k people heading to West Hollywood for their street party.

Keep in mind, the Olympics will be held in July/August. You won't have many conflicts with different sporting events. Soccer and baseball are about the only ones. As for concerts, there could be several held to tie into the Olympic competition, or bands looking to capitalize on playing before new sets of fans, assuming there will be a lot of out-of-town visitors to L.A. in 2028.

What L.A. needs is a monorail.

Huh? The Olympics itself will have a dozen events going on daily for 3 weeks.

Baseball is back in the Olympics for 2028, so MLB may take a break.

And the MLS stadiums will have Olympic events, so no soccer in town.

The "conflicts" during the Olympics will be all of the different Olympic events. The local clubs won't have any home games during those weeks.

I only care about numbers in this thread, because that's what this thread is about.

I guess they’ll announce sellouts forever no matter what but there were rows and rows of largely empty seats in corners of upper deck and chucks throughout the stadium all match.

no real local sports competition either.

Are there places on the concourse where people can stand?

A lot less than most stadiums. That’s not it.
