Big crowd in Seattle LA and from what I've read they're expecting 50K+ for Charlotte v NYCFC. I reckon they just don't make Ultra boycotts like they used to, I reckon.
If these are any indication at all, last season's attendance record won't last too long. Also, the boycott due to the Open Cup only exists on X.
Well it's a good start, though it's Charlotte's lowest ever attendance for a home opener in the long and prestigious history of the club
Haven't been able to find anything on Philadelphia or Austin. Dallas (vs. San Jose) 19,096 Houston (vs. Kansas City) 18,818 Portland (vs. Colorado) 21,411 St. Louis (vs. Salt Lake) 22,500** **Prior to its inaugural season, 22,500 was the listed capacity at City Park. However, every game's attendance, which were sellouts, showed 22,423. The 22,500 number shown here is what was reported by St. Louis CITY officials last night. Does this mean the stadium actually found the 'extra' 77 seats from last year's figures for 2024? Hard to say!
Possibly, but match tracker was all kinds of messed up last night. It may have been an oversight, or it could possibly be a matter of working out the kinks as a new season begins. In a way, it reminds me of going to a high school football game's home opener and seeing all the burned out bulbs on the scoreboard so you can't tell what the score is or how much time is left in the quarter. Thinking about things like that before the season begins is 'low priority' for some people!

Paul, you posted earlier in this thread that there were 20,406 in Columbus. Also, LAFC had 22,214, per a match report in the LA Daily News.
We're at 25,136 average for announced attendances this week and the Galaxy will probably be a sellout. Unfortunately even a Philly sellout will drag is under 25k but it's still a damn good start considering that Atlanta and Seattle were away. Last season Charlotte, Atlanta and Seattle were all home in week 1 and the average was 29,798.
Yeah, that's my point. They're super stable at 21-22k as if that's some sellout number, but it's not. Just weird to never see either and occasional 18k or occasional 23k, something like that. Tiny fluctuations.
Just watched the Galaxy match. That's the most full I've ever seen the stadium on TV. Somehow for the first time ever in Carson everyone seemed actually in their seats by kickoff. And that's with a game price double of the last MLS cup here. Messi mania is real.
