Niiiiiiice. Cucho plays for the greatest team the world has ever seen. We tuned in at 6:30. At one point, I was in the other room puttering around doing work, and I heard booing. I was like - what did the announcers say to get my family to boo? … Don Garber was talking. Haha. See you on Crewsmas.
Here's the "Things You Need To Know." Kickoff at 2:10. https://www.columbuscrew.com/news/match-guide-crewsmas-2024
Seems so: Beginning this season, all Crew matches will air live on Alt 105.7 FM and the iHeartRadio app in English
I just rewatched the three game playoff series with Atlanta. Can we boo Muyumba everytime he touches the ball? Or chant "SEND HIM OFF!" on every foul? I had almost forgotten how egregious his fouls were and how horrible the officiating was in all three games.
I know it's not realistic to expect that level of energy from match one of the regular season. Still, it's what I want to see, at least in stretches of the match. Assuming the starting XI is the same as it was for MLS Cup, I'm really curious to see where Hinestroza plays when he's subbed in.
Right on. The goals, the saves, the passion, the energy. Those game recaps give a high, for sure. I cannot remember a time in all my fandom when I have been this excited leading into a new season. I am trying to come down from Cloud Nine. Send help please.
I respect Nancy for his whole "starting from the bottom" mentality going into this season. Yet, he knows what he has developed here is something special. He is a special man. I keep reading 2024 MLS season previews, one after the next. Just about every "expert" both loves on this team and expects great things from the 2024 Crew team.
RE: Hinestroza I think it depends on the score. If we are losing/tied, bring him on for Farsi. If winning, bring him on for Matan.
That makes some sense. But I think the player on the roster who most resembles Hinestroza's game is Rossi. I mean, the match isn't perfect. But the speed/in-behind guy, to the extent we have one, is Rossi, not Matan. Though he is less likely to be subbed. FWW, if we are losing, I think Hinestroza for Farsi and Ramirez for Nagbe or Morris with Matan to CM, is probably the go to move.
I thought about saying Matan/Rossi because I agree about the similar playing style to Rossi but also agree that he's less likely to be subbed. I'm excited to see what he brings outside of the few YouTube highlights I've seen.
If Sands is good to go, he could always come in for one of the front three and Yaw slides up or vice versa. One of his better games was against Nashville in the AM role.
It wouldn’t surprise me. If not this week, before too long. As we’ve noted before, you don’t drop the 4th highest transfer fee we’ve ever paid for a player only to use him as a sub.
I think it’s a matter of time because he will be a rotational starter but I don’t see the starting XI changing for the opener unless it’s because of injury or fitness
