More on the Relevant lawsuit and the likelihood of regular season matches in the US: https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/40645598/relevent-fifa-us-soccer-lawsuit-explained
I don't think MLS has anything to worry about. Premier League clubs play in England all the time and somehow the rest of the pyramid survives. People have a habit of supporting global giants and/or supporting their local teams. Many do both, even within countries. I've met fans of teams like Bari or Piacenza who also support Juventus or Milan.
The attendance at Lincoln Financial Field tonight: 69,879, a sellout (as it has been since March) and the largest soccer crowd in the stadium’s history.— Jonathan Tannenwald (@thegoalkeeper) August 1, 2024

This day might break the record for the largest pro soccer attendance on a weekday in the United States (and last Saturday or next Saturday could do the same for a weekend day) if the various European club friendlies, Leagues Cup games, NWSL Summer Cup games, USL Championship games and USL League One games will release their attendance numbers.
Another big day for foreign teams playing in the US. August 3rd, 2024 Leagues Cup Monterey 1-1 Pumas Q2 Stadium, Austin, TX Attendance: N/A Manchester City 4-2 Chelsea (friendly) Ohio Stadium, Columbus, OH Attendance: 71,280 Stateside Cup Crystal Palace 3-1 West Ham United (friendly) Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL Attendance: N/A Real Madrid 1-2 Barcelona (friendly) MetLife Stadium, E. Club America 1-0 Aston Villa (friendly) Soldier Field, Chicago, IL Attendance: 25,122 Wolverhampton 3-0 RB Leipzig (friendly) Chase Stadium, Ft. Lauderdale, FL Attendance: N/A
If 82,000 for Real Madrid-Barcelona is accurate, then Saturday was only the third day in American soccer history with three crowds of 70,000 or more, and the first such day since the 1994 World Cup.
12,275 tickets sold for Crystal Palace v West Ham. West Ham advertised tickets starting at $6.38. A lot fewer in attendance following the double thunder and lightning delay. There was also a significant weather delay at Wolves v Leipzig in Fort Lauderdale. Maybe they should avoid high summer evening matches in Florida.

The EPL wants to bring back a Summer Series tournament to the US next summer. The Premier League is working on a proposal for Manchester United and Liverpool to form part of a four- or six-team tournament later in July, while Arsenal may also become part of the conversation. Sources close to the organisers, who wished not to be named due to the sensitivity of the discussions, insisted no financial proposal has yet been made. But people familiar with discussions told The Athletic the Premier League is working on a deal that would see clubs the size of United and Liverpool receive more than $8million (£6.3m) each for three games. Money would be divided up on a sliding scale, based on a club’s share of the U.S. market, meaning teams with a smaller footprint in the U.S. would receive less money, perhaps less than $2m, for competing.
