I gotta imagine James is going to constantly be pressured. Lerma has to control himself against the Uruguayans who are pros at provoking the rough play.

Considering how much of an influence he is, I don't doubt that.

Luckily for us this squad is deep in versatility and he is not the only one who can make magic happen.

I’m more nervous about injuries. I don’t want any injuries at all but especially James, Cordoba, Rios or Muñoz. Those guys are invaluable at the moment.

You know I deliberately left them out because I think worst case scenario Carrascal and Sini can be used in the same function. Luis Diaz would be a bit more of a shame because then it takes out the possibility he actually wakes up in a possible final. He’s been a bit wasteful outside of the Panama game. But when he’s on his game he’s unplayable.

God I hope we beat this team. Uruguayan community is already pissing me off with their rhetoric

“that we shouldn’t be so proud in beating Panama 5-0, we prove nothing. We’re always hyping our team up and end up choking at the end.”

    like they need to STFU

I don't trust Sanchez. I would drop his ass for Lucumi and let Genk do their thing

I still don't trust him and it would be so him for Sanchez to mess up today of all days.

Sanchez as right CB has been very good. Lucumi is the better left CB BUT I have to admit Cuesta has been strong (although he has had some lapses) and has earned this game.

I was at the Arg-Can game last night, same temp + humidity as what's expected tonight, 90degrees/ 44% humidity and it was a bear to just sit down and watch let alone play 90+ minutes. Wondering if this will play some factor. Argentina and Canada were both gassed after 65 minutes of play.

Sanchez has done a good job this tournament but we haven't really had to face a side that will be able to effectively press us high which is where Sanchez really struggles. If Lucumi was fine I'd probably go Lucumi/Cuesta and reunite the back of Lucumi/Cuesta/Munoz that has played thousands of minutes together and the CB pair that is best at dealing with a high press.
