    What a gargantuan shitstorm.

First of all: in my country the victim can't by any means drop any charge related to a crime of sexual nature (as sexual assault and rape) no matter what.
    What about Japan?

About the 2 weeks of investigation: clearly they seem ridicolous (in my country are at least 6 months) but if they found something that totally descharge Sano & Co. of any charges (like for example if the woman was paid by some yakuza to frame Sano and extort money from him) and "the fact does not exist" why keep going with the investigations? Or maybe the investigations keep going on but changed the focus from Sano to the extortionists.

About Mainz: they must really believe in Sano if they are willing to tarnish the club's name to sign him. What if the woman will declare they had a deal and Sano is really guilty of rape and paid (even with "Mainz's money" as an employer) to shut her mouth?

Whatever these young footballers need to have a tutor (even their agent) on their side whenever they put their nose out of home. The risk to ruin their (and not only their) life with a bad company or a bad date is too high.

    Seriously…?
Confidentiality agreement it is, of course. You take the money, you remove your complaint and you shut your mouth, for ever.

In the C. Ronaldo case (presumed sexual assault in Vegas, 200x, dealt with a secret agreement) the plaintiff who finally wanted more money was fined $ 350 000 by the judge for violating the confidentiality clause which is the agreement only reason to be.

And even if there was 1000 witnesses in favour of the defender, a court case would take months, years to be dismissed. It could also continue with the removal of the complaint, with reasonable doubts (see M. Greenwood case) but would eventually drop charges due to lack of elements and/or witnesses.

If there was evidence of perjury or false testimony, the judge or the defender would attack the complaining party, see J. Ito case.

Of course an agreement was reached, lads. 3 mens involved in a sexual assault? Mainz would never have accepted him at this point otherwise, he’s just not valuable enough to take this kind of risks.

Let them please to believe that all is "official" is real as well. There are a lot of people in this world like this and this is good...but not for them

They believe all what they read...

Then why Mainz accepted at the end? Cuz Sano paid some bucks to the girl? Is it worth it???

At the end we will never know for sure. No matter what everyone of us thinking unless Sano would tell be himself.

You are the one who said this:
Image damage can't be clean up paying, on the contrary it is even worse. I dunno how germans think about this type of cases but normally if you pay using your status of a young rich man to shut up a woman victim you are pictured as a raper at large.

Whatever better for him, Mainz and JNT that things worked out.

You're right, but I was assuming he would've spent more time in Japan.

if you check the comments online, you can already tell some damage has indeed been done. However everything was dealt so quickly that probably it'll be forgotten at some point I guess...

Played 120 minutes in the first match of the season. It seems the manager likes him. Hopefully he will still be called to the National team.

Well we are talking about the country who didn't let Maradona come to japanese soil for his past drug issues (and for instance I agreed with them).

We have to talk about Sano, cause he looked forgotten.

He played a very strong season and is getting better and better, from game to game. Has bis best game against Dortmund this weekend, which Mainz won 3-1.

He was everywhere and a beast in the defense. He is also starter since the first game for Mainz and played almost every game over 90 minutes, despite some dying minute subs.

He is on his way to become a real serious JNT player. Has he chances under Moriyasu or is he another Furuhashi, Watanabe guy?

I think he's paying the price of his "drama". Yes he was excellent against Dortmund.
    I'm not surprised.

At some point Moriyasu will have no choice, when Sano breaks into the JNT with nothing but pure quality.

He means the "rape-scandal" but lets don't start this again. Lets focus only on his performance at Mainz or JNT.

He can actually play a important part in the JNT, he is a DM which can cover much ground. When Endo currently is not getting much minutes, he should be given a look-in.

What would you say, is he more a Endo- or Hatate type?

From what I see he is more a classic CDM like Wataru.

he's a "pure" DMF destroyer, reminds of Hosogai but better with the ball

Ohhh I really really love Hosogai. Was so underrated. He was a pure destroyer. 2-3 seasons , he was such a class.

Here in Germany the german media gave him the nickname "chaindog" cause he was often there to cover and destroy the very good players like Ribery, Robben and Kagawa in their prime. Some games those players were soooo frustrated cause Hajime penetrates them as ******** over 90th minutes. He even manged to play 1 season as a starter at Leverkusen (more or less).

    Very good player.
