My ticket rep informed me that he's taking another job with the org. I guess he got burned out trying to fight a losing cause. At least he's still got a gig - hopefully a better one - for him.

Quakes don't make it easy. I feel bad for these ticket reps. There's no way around having to deliver on a much better on the field product, if they ever hope to turn things around. Even with a vastly improved roster and a team capable of playing in the playoff zone, it's going to take time to win back fans. Quakes have the kind of reputation you'd expect of a Fisher owned team.

I was getting my check up yesterday and my doc came in, first thing he said to me and his interns, he's still surprised to learn that Fisher owns both the A's and the Quakes (as I told him awhile back) and now it makes sense why the Quakes are so awful.

There should be some kind of mercy rule for fans (when teams are as bad as ours) where the league steps in and says enough is enough...time to either sell or get serious.

Or, like most people in the workforce, just wanted to try something new, had used that position as a stepping stone to prove himself for something new, or who knows what else. It may be fun to read into his personal choice, but people are always changing jobs inside or outside their company.

Of course, sure, but I don't think it's a wild stretch to think that selling Quakes season tickets right now, and for pretty much all of last year, was a frustrating job.

My rep earned a promotion, so I will have to break in a new one next season.

While I feel sorry for Brandon Vasquez to have to come to the Quakes, this would be good for us. I’ve always liked him and he heads the ball well. I don’t know what went wrong for him at Monterrey. I think there was some kind of sell-on with Cincinnati, so I guess they will lose out if he comes here.

Ha, maybe we will get Dom back as asst coach.

Sorry, my bad. I hope you and your husband are generously rewarded next year with a Quakes season worthy of your loyalty.

I've probably bought the fewest Quakes tickets of anybody here!

He really doesn't want to be transferred to the Quakes. Nothing like a little motivation to light a fire :).

There is a 0% chance Vazquez didn't see Herc's tweet given they know each other

    Left winger.
Seems like he might be available for a trade...

Might be worth a look. The most promising thing I've seen this offseason so far is not specifically that the Quakes are interested in making a play for Vazquez, it's that they are thinking relatively big along those lines, i.e. they are thinking in terms of a DP level striker. That probably means they have to transfer or buy out Gruezo. But a left side attacker is also needed, and maybe they can transfer Pellegrino back to help make more room for that under the cap. Pellegrino's and Barreal's salaries are basically identicial. - low $900k's.

Barreal on a non-DP deal and a DP striker bought for $8 million, and the Quakes could be really interesting...

Interesting to compare to our Romney/Kaye/Harkes deal, this is what two CBs in their mid 20s cost...

I think Hernán as a withdrawn forward could work very well. I haven't been that impressed with his medium / long range shooting but he'd be a great playmaker around the box, like Chofis was, but hopefully better and more consistent. Then the problem is who plays CAM - the Quakes eternal problem. I don't think Niko's the guy. It's too easy to take away his left side to neutralize him. MLS is not U20's. He's gonna have to be better than that. Skahan has the right intentions / mindset but not the skills in possession.
