The athletes that are in the portal from Jacksonville State have gone off on Fraser. Verbal abuse, threats, personal digs, compromising morals, being told they should have never played college soccer, telling them to quit, the list is extensive. And this is coming from multiple coaches including a program I am very close to. This person was outed very early on bigsoccer years ago and this appears to have gotten worse. I feel for the athletes that had to work with this person.
The amount of coaches being let go because of complaints, accusations, etc is crazy. While I'm sure there are a few cases that might be deserved, entitled and spoiled players know certain words and phrases that can get coaches in hot water with scared CYA administrations. Coaches, male and female, have absolutely no protections.
Florida Elite coaches told me Balaam has taken a the women's pro job down in Jacksonsville. Also heard Ambrose expects assistants to work extremely long hours.
I tend to be amazed at how entitled coaches are these days. Some still think this is the 1950s where you can withhold water from players during long calisthenics workouts like the Junction Boys. Or the 90s when cursing and foul language was the primary method of communication. I'm being facetious, of course, but it would seem like coaches would start adjusting their behaviours towards players in their programs. This doesn't mean bend over, it just means adapt and do things differently. It seems like adults should still be able to find a way to command the respect of teenagers and young adults without "old-school" coaching methods. If the players have adjusted, why haven't the coaches? That's probably the question we need to be asking. Coaches can protect themselves by using different methods to communicate with everyone in the program. This includes players, of course, but also assistants and other staff members. Why are we blaming the entitled players and absolving coaches from whatever role they're playing?
This subject was also brought back to light with images and clear indication that this coach was away from the team during conference tournament games this past season & was let go midseason from the previous job he was at - ULM-. Yet, we have people that come here and swear it’s all a misunderstanding and that we are all haters and losers from programs that are jealous of Sean’s success. Make no mistake 9 out of 10 coaches know the truth. To think this man was a candidate for a P4 job tells you enough of the disconnect between administrations and the reality of college soccer. But then again, that is easy to realize with some of the recent hires. —————————————————————— Soccer Doctor is Flogaites at Jackson State.
While I'm neither a player or coach, I agree as a fan that coaches play a role in some cases with entitlement and stupidity. No doubt. But with the amount of instances this same narrative is appearing, I have a tough time believing it's all guilty, outdated coaches. And it seems the players actually have adjusted. Negatively. They're abusing the power and options given from scared NCAA and administrations. Players know exactly what to say to run off a coach if they don't like playing time, roles, constructive criticism, etc.
Doctor Florinho is not on any type of leave or under investigation. The only thing he’s ever guilty of is wearing a heavy sweater when it’s 100 degree in July, and wearing camo on the sidelines while recruiting.

What is going on at Northwestern? Did anyone see the email about needing a keeper coach but there are federal funding issues? Is this about to become more commonplace?
Rising costs of youth soccer has bred entitlement into players and parents. Yes, of course theres some bad eggs out there in the coaching world that should be held accountable for these types of actions. But id agree its not always the case.
Wonder where Morgan is going? Im sure we are going to see more and more budget concerns with schools at all levels. It is going to affect the Power 4 as well

its referred to as a paywall, and yes, awful to post just the link, but looks like Akron coach put on paid leave. Someone a little anxious to get the scoop didn't tell us what the scoop is!
I’m not sure why but I was able to access the article. It’s not that specific. Here it is: UA women's soccer coach Jen Simonetti on paid leave amid athletes' safety concerns University of Akron women's soccer head coach Jen Simonetti is the subject of an internal investigation, UA Senior Director of External Communications Cristine Boyd confirmed Thursday. Simonetti was notified that she has been placed on paid administrative leave last month in a letter sent on Feb. 14 from UA administrators. The letter noted that Human Resources received concerns about the "mental and physical safety of student athletes on the women's soccer team." Boyd declined to comment further on the investigation. Simonetti could not be reached by phone for comment. A look at Jen Simonetti's Zips career This is Simonetti's third season with the Zips after she was named head coach in July 2022. Under Simonetti, the Zips compiled records of 3-9-4 (2-7-2 in Mid-American Conference) in 2022, 3-14-1 (1-9-1) in 2023 and 5-9-4 (0-9-2) in 2024. Before Akron, she was the head coach at Case Western Reserve University for three years with a 30-7-3 record.
