2M release clause? MLS is really dropping the ball with not having an internal transfer market that deals with real cash. Any MLS team can definitely pay that or more for a proven MLS player instead of paying that same amount for an unproven player from another league. Plus the league would get to keep its talent here.

On another note, not a rumor or anything but seeing how good Puig has been in MLS it wouldn't hurt for any MLS team to go after Ansu Fati. No one thought Puig would ever come to MLS but he did. Fati can be persuaded to do the same. Garth Lagerwey make it happen!

So, why did Miami get to release their roster decisions today, Dec 9th, the same day as MLS Cup Finalists, when everyone else (other than the semifinalists on Dec 5th) had to do it on Nov 27th?

 

That made me completely laugh out loud. What an MLS transaction.
