Its back for another season - FANTASY OLYMPICS 2023-2024

Congrats to last seasons worthy winner - REVEALED: Starboy XI (USA)

Here is a quick recap of the rules -

As usual, the Fantasy Olympic weekly winners will be the top scorers across 'All Rocks Leagues' - earning Gold, Silver and Bronze.

The All Rocks League will be used to collect scores for our internal competitions. All 32 teams are in (hopefully).

Gold , Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded with NO exclusions ! (so there could be 3 Gold - 3 Silver and 3 Bronze in any week if the points decree. )

    Gold Medal = 5 pts Silver = 3 pts Bronze = 1 pt

The winner is the one at the end of the season with the most POINTS in total. In case of a tie Gold medals are counted, then Silver medals and then Bronze.

Each game week a wooden spoon will be awarded for the lowest score this incurs a penalty of -1.0pt which could have a disastrous effect on your total points haul at the end of the season (deductions will be made after the last game !)

Good luck to all managers and may the best manager triumph.

REVEALED: Starboy XI starts out the 2024-2025 campaign where they left off from last season winning that season and getting gold in GW 1.

No Haaland this time. Saka is leading the line with 24 points and in his 16th season in the Premier League, Danny Welbeck had an equal outing, just not doubled.

REVEALED: Starboy XI are looking to move on up to Small Rocks!

Silver went to Zico Freako FC. Last season they started with the first Wooden Spoon. Also with Saka, a brilliant back line of Robertson, Burn, Saliba and Becker brought 4 clean sheets. In the middle Diogo and Mitoma both found the back of the net and received the one point clean sheet point as well.

Bronze went to a Haaland team, Glorydaze. Haaland held to a single goal and bonus point was helped by another solid defense and Mbeumo and Mitoma in the middle to get that medal.

Honorable mention goes to Borussia DaMarcus let by Salah. Just a clean sheet shy of the medal stand besides having three auto-subs in Gameweek 1.

Our first woooden spoon of the season goes to ColdDogSoup FC. Back in Small Rocks but let down with first picks, Watkins and Gordon. Gvardiol with 7 was the best one on the pitch. Will Lobo hold steady or are the transfers coming?

Fantasy Olympics at the beginning always follows the All Rocks standings.

Winning Gold and Silver this week are our new top two teams.

Glorydaze after winning Bronze on the opening weekend has struck Gold. Haaland is captain of course but then two budget midfielders, Smith Rowe and Gibbs-White hit double digits to edge past Journeymen who triple captained Haaland.

Bronze went to a non-Haaland squad with Bernardo, DeBruyne and Ruben leading Man City instead. Lokomotiv Lewisham handed Bernardo the armband but it has two Spurs and a Chelsea player, Son, Romero and Jackson to join DeBruyne in the team of the week.

Honorable Mention is shared by Pingree Park Ranger and Real Newark. Palmer with 34 points led the Rangers and Son with 32 points for Real Newark.

The dreaded Wooden Spoon went to Morning Glory. Bruno Fernandes and company are having trouble getting goals. A pair of clean sheets from Robinson and Alexander-Arnold were the two bright spots.

    REVEALED: Starboy XI

Journeymen and Glorydaze neck and neck in the All Rocks standings and taking turns winning Gold and Silver here in the Golden Boot.

Journeymen are 2nd overall but won Gold this week with an impressive 91 in a single gameweek. Hat Trick Haaland of course leads the team but Mbuemo, Eze and Wood were all double digits or nearly there.

Glorydaze also with Haaland of course, and Mbuemo (got to keep it low cost after Haaland) were 10 points behind. One double digit player shy but atleast Calvert-Lewin might have his mojo back. Glorydaze is hoping it is that one from 2020/2021 with 16 goals and 6 assists.

The Javelinas won Bronze. A Salah team with excellent Luis Diaz. Only had 10 players on the field as Solanke joined the injury list that is already filling the bench.

Honorable Mention goes again to Real Newark. Luis Diaz again with the brace and 15 points. Wissa, Pedro and Bernardo were all solid. It was just Captain Son, a Toon, a Hammer and the entire defense to blame for not getting on that medal stand.

The Wooden Spoon goes to DizzyAndDaffy who not only is wanting Foden back but is also wondering who needs to be called to give his players minutes on the field with four starters turning out to be substitutes.

The Fantasy Olympics is just about following the All Rocks standings except Pararaiders third in All Rocks just made the medal stand this week.

Glorydaze top in All Rocks won gold this week as silver last week. 26 points from Halland alone. Then there was Dalot and Onana from ManU. Both on the team of the week with Haaland.

Pararaiders who won silver also had Dalot and Onana along with captain Haaland.

Dalot was there again for Journeymen for bronze along with our third Haaland.

The Haalands are having a good fight.

Borussia DaMarcus have their second Honorable Mention. They are fourth place in All Rocks. They are a Salah team who had a nice Mateta brace and Gabriel had a goal and clean sheet this weekend as their star had an off week.

Two teams had scores in the teens. The worst of which was Tangers FC with Son and Isak led a squad with just 1's and 2's. Uggh!

    REVEALED: Starboy XI

    Gold: Glorydaze 82

Another week, another medal and it is Gold again for two weeks in a row. That is Glorydaze who just keeps rolling.

The points? Haaland of course with a mild 9 points doubled, Dalot and Onana each with 9 each as well and enough goals and clean sheets for a solid 82 points.

Winning Silver was Lokomotiv Lewisham, captaining Jackson for 32 points. Two Crystal Palace clean sheets and Son with 10 points.

For Bronze, we have a three way tie. All with 63 points. One was a Haaland. That was Pararaiders with Onana, Dalot and Villa's Rogers who made the team of the week. Next was Real Newar led by Son but with a Luis Diaz brace and Konsa both on the team of the week. The third bronze was blechs dawgs with Madison captain for 24 points with another one with a double Crystal Palace defense getting clean sheets.

Honorable Mention goes to ColdDogSoup FC who captained Watkins but had to Chelsea players, Jackson and Sanchez on the team of the week.

The Wood Spoon was for FC Epikoinis whose Man City defense double up of Walker and Dias went just as wrong as an Arsenal triple up of White, Jesus and Havertz. Grealish was there too for 5 points among 6 players on the field for that massive match yesterday. Watkins and Sancho helped the team get into the 20's to avoid insult to injury.

    Gold: Glorydaze 74
    Silver: Lokomotiv Lewisham 69

One, two, three. Palmer! Palmer! Palmer!

Soccer Steve is one. 93 points led with Palmer's 50. McNeil, this year's minor phenomena, gets 15 points. Soucek and Mbuemo get 9 points each for a fabulous weekend.

FC St. Pauli earns Silver with 85 points. Palmer with 50 and Trossard with 11. A couple Spurs clean sheets keep them ahead of our Bronze winner, and our third Palmer, Pingree Park Randers.

Honorable Mention goes to last week's Wooden Spoon winner, FC Epikoinis with a solid 55 points. Jota, Watkins, Havertz and Sancho all with solid outings.

The Wooden Spoon went to blechs dawgs. As reported elsewhere a Bruno F red card topped off an off week for the dawgs as last week they were on the medal stand with a shared Bronze medal.

Last week it was Palmer. This week it was Saka. A goal and two assists that was worth 32 points when captained.

Our Gold winner, Zico Freako FC had Saka with a handful of 6's, 7's and 8's coming from Welbeck, Martinelli, Konate and Johnson. 72 points in total.

That edged them past REVEALED: Starboy XI who got silver. Back in GW 1 when the two shared the medal stand with Saka's GW 1 hot outing, it was the other way around.

The two now share third place in the Fantasy Olympic standings.

Our third Saka, Aviators, wins honorable mention with 55 points. Only Virgil van Dijk with 8 points then a drab outing from the rest.

By just a point, Glorydaze with 4 points from Captain Haaland, edged past. Bowen with 12 and Mbuemo with 8 helped our leading in All Rocks stay on the medal stand.

56 points is our lowest score to earn a Bronze so far.

The Wooden Spoon goes to Real Newark. Just 27 points as the injury list piles up with Son, Pedro, Wissa and Mykolenko.

    Gold: Zico Freako FC 72

Bad day for Haaland. Good day for Salah.

One Haaland, Glorydaze, top of All Rocks, almost got the Wooden Spoon with 16 points. Reported elsewhere, that was Zico Freako FC with 15. A week ago it was Gold for Zico Freako. Yikes. Just need to take a deep breath and relax.

Gold and Silver were taken by two Salah squads.

Sasha Juniors with Gold had Salah for 24 of the 60 points. That is the lowest point total for Gold so far. Just Raul, Hojlund and Georginio with a 6, 7 and 8 to help the score.

Silver went to The Javelinas. Salah brought in 24 of the 55 points. Hojlund and Milenkovi with a 6 and 8 were the only other stand outs. Kudus with the red card could have been the difference between Silver and Gold.

Bronze went to a Haaland squad, Pararaiders, who edged out our last Salah, Borussia DaMarcus, who earned an Honorable Mention.

Just 4 points separated the two. Pararaiders had Welbeck and Kulusevski for 9 along with Gvardiol who had 10 and making the team of the week. There was enough depth to make up for Haaland's 4 points.

    Gold: Sasha Juniors 60
    Silver: The Javelinas 55
    Bronze: Pararaiders 53

Haaland only scored six points without the captain's badge but we have all of the usual suspects back at the medal stand.

Journeymen in second in the standings takes their second Gold Medal. Braces from Mbuemo and Wood make up 28 points of their 67 with Haaland as Captain with 12. Three more six and sevens got them ahead of the Silver Medalists.

Silver was shared by Fantasy Olympic leader, Glorydaze, and FC St. Pauli. 11 points behind Journeymen with 56. Cole Palmer was captain for FC St. Pauli and Wood, the second best striker in FPL, was spotted again. With Glorydaze it was Mbuemo again.

Just two points behind was our Bronze medalist, REVEALED: Starboy XI, Captain Johnson was a dud but the squad depth was enough for the medal and just one point ahead of Honorable Mention winner, SoccerSteve with Captain Palmer and Mbuemo yet again.

DizzyandDaffy is still suffering with Foden's and Martinelli's slow starts and is left holding the Wooden Spoon.

Solanke was the top scorer for the Gameweek with 16 points. He was able to lift one team in All Rocks to the top of the medal stand. The Javelinas win gold with Mo Salah as captain with 18 points and Solanke with 16. That was just about half of their 60 points.

Just two points behind with 58 was REVEALED: Starboy XI. No Solanke but Aina was there with 15 points. That is a goal, a clean sheet and maximum bonus points for a defender from Nottingham Forest. Also on their squad was Leif Davis with 10 points to make the Team of the Week.

Blechs dawgs won Bronze with 52 points. Just one point ahead of a tie for Honorable Mention. The team came together with Bruno Fernandes making the Team of the Week while James Maddison was handed the arm band. Isak looks to be getting his groove back and defenders from Crystal Palace and Fulham are providing assists even if the clean sheets aren't happening.

Bruno was back for Morning Glory who also had Crystal Palace and Fulham defenders providing offensive support. Kopite Juniors had Bruno as Captain and had Isak as well. That was Bruno getting two Honorable Mentions and a Bronze. A turn around for Man United?

FC Epikoinis had a flat day as only Gordon had anything higher than a 3 for the squad as the fans are waiting for Ollie Watkins to get his groove back.

After sharing Honorable Mentions in GW 11, Kopite Junior's generosity continues sharing Gold in GW12.

Well... Morning Glory could say the same as the two of them go back to back gameweeks running up to the stage in unison.

As our medal stand becomes like group photos at a wedding or the Oscars, Blech Dawgs moves from Bronze Medal winner position to Silver Medal and Javelinas moves from Gold Medal winnner to Bronze Medal winner.

To thank they have Bruno Fernandes, bringing back memories of the 20/21 season of 18 goals and 14 assists it is back to back double digit gameweeks. Captained on both Kopite Juniors and Morning Glory's gets the star credit as each team gets the prized award after a 76 point gameweek.

For blech, Bruno was Vice Captained to Isak. Isak also hit double digits though with 11 and Smith Rowe was there to match that number too.

Bronze and Honorable Mention go to Mo Salah's teams. Not 34 points like Bruno but 28 for a nice bump. With Bronze was The Javelinas. Just a point behind blech and now in the 600 point or more club of All Rocks with Glorydaze and Journeymen.

Sasha Juniors with Honorable Mention were a distant 10 points behind.

ColdDogSoup FC is waiting for Ollie Watkins to get his mojo back. For now the manager can pace with two wooden spoons held behind their back.

It was a good day to own Saka and it was a good day to won Salah. Haaland? Not so good.

Captaining Saka for 36 points and with Evanilison's 12 and Johnson's 10, REVEALED: Starboy XI got into the 700 club in All Rocks along with Glorydaze, Borussia DaMarcus and The Javelinas.

That is 4th place overall and 3rd Place in VSR. VSR already has over a 100 point split between 3rd Plance and 4th. This will be a fun group to watch.

In the Fantasy Olympics, REVEALED: Starboy XI is in 2nd place.

The medalists this week was tight too as only 4 points separated Gold from Honorable Mention.

Avaitors also with Saka won Silver. Also with Evanilson, Brentford's Nathan Collins with Virgil got them just ahead of Pingree Park Rangers who won bronze. First trip to the medal stand this season for Aviators. Congratulations!

Pingree Park Rangers, with Palmer as captain with 28 points also had Mitoma and Johnson each with 10 points and Gabriel with 9 to make the medal stand 1 point over Sasha Juniors.

Mazraoui was yanked in the 55th minute to keep miss the clean sheet, 60 minutes for a point that could have meant Gold for Sasha Juniors.

Tangers FC had Zirkzee for 13 points. Not much else was happening to get 24 points and the Wooden Spoon.
