Well done Feyenoord 4-1 in the 65' min. but I'm gonna assume this game is done. Sporting lose yesterday and hopefully Benfica do too
I've got the feeling the goals we conceded are going to be fatal for our qualifying for the play off round.
Lille plays Liverpool matchday 7. If they lose that big time and, not likely but who knows, we beat Bayern, then all of a sudden in the final match by beating Lille we could do a first 8 spot grab. Bayern is only 2 points ahead of us and Lille, just 3. That would give Portugal a huge coefficient blow.
bakker has been making headlines at lille mean while popping in goals. was man of the match vs sturm Graz and scored as well. 3 goals in all competition since joining in august
Will be very difficult to beat Bayern Munich. They are quite suspect defensively and play a very aggressive and high line. Feyenoord allow goals and Wellenreuther is a liability in Goal which is not a good thing. Priske will need the team to be switched on completely all over the pitch.
9992 According to an AD Sportwereld Feyenoord has nothing to fear from eight clubs in the Champions League Feyenoord did good business in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, but is not quite sure of a place in the last 24 after the 4-2 win over Sparta Prague. Brian Priske's team, currently 18th with 10 points from six matches, may need another point in the last two games against Bayern Munich (home) and Lille (away) to reach the intermediate round. To start with the good news: of the 36 teams in the Champions League, there are already 8 that Feyenoord can no longer catch up. And most likely even 10, because Sparta Prague (-11) and Shakhtar Donetsk (-8) are on only 4 points and also have a lower goal difference than the Rotterdam team (-1). Numbers 36 to 27 are (normally) no longer a threat. There are still 8 teams left, of which Feyenoord must keep at least 2 under them. PSV, 23rd with 8 points, has a tougher job ahead of them. These teams, pretty much the same I mentioned Feyenoord and PSV should keep an eye on in the last two rounds of play: Nummer 19 Club Brugge: 10 punten, doelsaldo -2 Programma: Juventus-thuis, Manchester City-uit Nummer 20 Real Madrid: 9 punten, doelsaldo 1 Programma: Red Salzburg-thuis, Stade Brest-uit Nummer 21 Celtic: 9 punten, doelsaldo 0 Programma: Young Boys-thuis, Aston Villa-uit Nummer 22 Manchester City: 8 punten, doelsaldo 4 Paris Saint-Germain-uit, Club Brugge-thuis Nummer 23 PSV: 8 punten, doelsaldo 4 Programma: Rode Ster-uit, Liverpool-thuis Nummer 24 Dinamo Zagreb: 8 punten, doelsaldo -5 Programma: Arsenal-uit, AC Milan-thuis Nummer 25 Paris Saint-Germain: 7 punten, doelsaldo 0 Programma: Manchester City-thuis, VfB Stuttgart-uit Nummer 26 VfB Stuttgart: 7 punten, doelsaldo -3 Programma: Slovan Bratislava-uit, Paris Saint-Germain-thuis
AZ were up 2-0 and allowed the Bulgarian team back in for a draw. Twente are pretty much dead in the water now as they could only draw in Greece 0-0. Hoping for an Ajax win today but realistically don't think their current form is all that great.
Brian Brobbey missed three great header opportunities against Lazio. © Pim Ras Photography Ajax has been knocked out of the top 8 of the Europa League by Lazio. Francesco Farioli's team continued its dramatic form in the Eredivisie against the smart and effective leader of the Europa League: 1-3. The second half started so hopefully. With a corner from Steven Berghuis, on Taylor's head. While the midfielder was still disappointed that his header had been cleared off the line, Jorrel Hato rammed the ball into the roof of the goal from distance. Just like against Utrecht, but without the help of an opponent. But the crowd had barely finished cheering when Ajax was in the catch up chase again. Substitute Mattia Zacagni was given plenty of time on the left to pull the ball low and forward. Despite the presence of eight Ajax players, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru was able to shoot in at the far post. The save by keeper Remko Pasveer took place behind the goal line, Slovakian referee Ivan Kruzliak indicated with his index finger on his watch. Ajax hoped to force an equalizer with pinch hitters Wout Weghorst and Chuba Akpom, when Pedro curled the decisive 1-3 into the top corner.
10093 To be honest, I'm far from impressed by PSV. They get alot of wow/whoa for matches in the Eredivisie, but when it matters in the CL they're awol or come back after the opponent gets red carded. So basically they're shit on that level. Feyenoord is a bit of a conundrum, acting like a bipolar person. Either awfull, both home losses, or on top of it in the away games. Anyway, Feyenoord are far more convincing in the CL than PSV, and I can see PSV buckle in the new year in the Eredivisie too. From our contenders in the EL my faith is in AZ Alkmaar. Ajax had a good run, but the shortcomings in the selection are now being exposed in the EL. FC Twente is very disappointing, performing way below or better formulated getting results far below what they are capable of and should have gotten.
11614 Opstelling PSV: Benítez; Karsdorp, Flamingo, Boscagli, Mauro; Schouten, Veerman, Saibari; Bakayoko, De Jong, Lang.
Monaco atm in the lead against Aton Villa, which isnot good for both Feyenoord and PSV, as the French then leap over us in the CL table and will gain coefficient points for France.
