We have one for 2022. I thought I saw one for 2023, but maybe I didn't. Still, I did see there's several options for renewal gifts this year. A hat (choose kid or adult size), a cooler and two other options. They also asked me my birthday and favorite player. Have they done so in prior years? It makes me wonder if something is brewing...
Adult black hat Kids black hat Black bag Yellow water bottle What looks like a Fanny pack. Better than some years. They have a 12 month payment option or you can negotiate your own plan. Zero interest which is nice. From what I’ve seen of Cucho, tickets will go fast for next year. He’s worth the price of admission.
My rep did the same ... With a message that if I knew anyone who wanted in that section, they should call in the morning. I was on the waitlist ... I guess they worked through it.
I'm ashamed to say that I don't know. There were some watch parties and other events at the stadium last year, but I can't recall if those were STM exclusive or not.
There was a large event at HCS with player autographs and a free Crew 2 game, several chalk talks with the front office, and several small private autograph sessions with players. The crew fest before the FCC game was free to Gen public.
The best was two years ago when you could go basically anywhere in the stadium. Got to visit the locker room, press conference room, and the players' seats.
There was also a post-game autograph session with one or two players that was open to select STMs. There was talk that there'd be other events that would be open to other STMs, but AFAIK, nothing developed. I think the membership item was a scarf. Next year, it's a "you choose" one of several items. I'd imagine someone with multiple tickets could do a workaround and have multiple accounts if they wanted several of the items. Crew Fest didn't have players, was at LDC and had a lot of community vendors. The Nordecke had a yard sale of old/classic items, there was axe throwing, a few food trucks, etc. No players. As said, the "meet the team" event was at LDC and coupled with a Crew 2 game. I think STMs got in for both, whereas the general public might have only been allowed to go to the Crew 2 match. They had pods of 3-4 players spread out through the concourse. The only thing they could have done different, IMO, would have been to close the lines 15 minutes or so before so that people in line would have been guaranteed autographs. It was nice that they gave us all autograph booklets with their names and roster numbers.
https://abc6onyourside.com/news/loc...list-saint-paul-trip-fly-popular-destinations Here's a new option for direct flights from Columbus to Minneapolis - St. Paul in 2023. This could be beneficial for NorOnTour. Let's see how the schedule works out.
IIRC, there were 96 days from the time the 2022 schedule was released to the 2022 season opener. If the 2023 season starts approximately the same week, there's now about 91 days. So...schedule soon?
Which could fall under the definition of "soon" but yeah, MLS would be smart to delay it until after the final.
There is a new referral program for STM. If only this was announced like 3 months ago, I would be rolling in the perks. Also, I confirmed with my rep that the open house is booked except for the 12:00 pm slot. Guess I'll have to hope that we crush the Dutch in regular time.
My rep called me and gave me a heads up about this program. Problem is most of friends already have tix. Would have been nice during STC when I recruited many of them to buy tix. Many of us have actually cut back or moved to cheaper seats. We were able to roll over credits and basically buy down our seats for 2 seasons. I move to Nordecke just to have tix as cheap as possible. I only used them 4 times this season and my kids used them a few. I gave away or sold the rest. I reupped only because my son is graduating college in a couple weeks and moving home for his job. He'll likely use them more than me.
I've come down for 6-8 games per season since I moved back to Ohio in 2014. I usually use about 15 tickets between my family and friends. For many years I had 1 season ticket and a friend of mine from Columbus had another and we sent tickets back and forth. Last year my friend moved away from Columbus so I moved to split a ticket with a coworker who had teenage kids who had busy lives and weren't using all their tickets. We decided it was easier for her to have the whole block of 4 in her name and she'd transfer to me when I went down. This year we switched one of the seats into my name so I could get the Apple TV+ benefit, too. I just completed the transfer today. Credit to Alex in the ticketing staff for a relatively straightforward process and decent communication.
