CR finish 4th in their group, so Rivera will be back with the team soon. He started in both of their draws (losses in PKs) and was unused in their regulation loss to France.

We better hope Bye returns and that he and Makoun stay healthy. I suppose Farrell at RB and Omar at CB will be an option, but Jones could miss a whole bunch of games.

Bolma made the bench for last week's game - I wonder if he'll get any minutes. Losing Jones is a lot tougher than losing Bye - Jones can play either wing, I don't think Bye can.

I recall Bye playing on the left once. It wasnt an absolute shit show, but he very clearly much better on the right

And we have Sweat - now that he's had weeks to train with the team, hopefully he can be better than what we've seen.

How about the services from DeJuan and Turner leading to the two US goals, and then Turner just doing Turner things in penalties.

Interesting that Buck got called by England (U-19?). My most natural prediction would be that he'd have more chance of making the USA Senior team in the long run. Still time for that but it feels a little like Buck is, at best, on the outer fringe of US interest for even the U-whatever squads? Yes, the Egg talked to him but Buck was pretty eloquent in summing up how brief that conversation was.

And Buck elaborated more in another interview, where he basically said that he felt pretty much snubbed by the USNT. Other than the pretty superficial conversation with Berhalter, they haven't shown a whole lot of interest.

Maybe it's because of the whole turnover/restructuring of USSF or maybe it's because it's just a relatively amateurish operation, but you'd think you would make good prospects very aware that you're interested in them and, if that means getting them into a U19 or even full USNT training camp to evaluate them (and have them evaluate us), then so be it.

Hopefully that puts to bed the whole "Bruce didn't let Buck go to the U20 WC" that certain revs "sources" keep trying the peddle on twitter.

Have to say that Jones looked pretty rusty last game - I don't think he's in shape to contribute at the international level, so I think it's likely that he'll just be insurance on the bench and could be back at practice on Thursday.

He will miss the Revs game in Nashville (arriving 3 days late), but hopefully be back in time for the Decision Day match vs PHI Oct 21st.

Jones and Miles Robinson are the only MLS players called up. I was hoping Zimmerman would be included, balancing out Jones, but no - at least not yet.
