Cincinnati has effectively been playing with 10 men for all of extra time. Maybe even 9 since Barreal started cramping.

As a coach, you sometimes have to say no to your star player who wants to stay in.

 

Can try to do rainbow flicks on the sideline in his own half though.

 

Agreed. In my mind it's more of a mental challenge than a difficult coaching choice.

That free kick said it all. Cincinnati gets a chance to equalize on a set piece... and Acosta just stands just outside the box with his hands on his knees.

Nope, Acosta. He did it while Barreal was basically on the ground cramping.

 

Throw Noonan back in the oven. He needs more baking time. This is the same thing I said about Curtin last year. Good coach, but scared to WIN. Once they are in winning position in knockout games, they get scared and start making coaching mistakes.

 

xG on the Ramirez winner was 0.97, don't see chances that good very often.

I already know I am rooting for the Crew in the final. I am all-in on Wilfried Nancy. Hell, I would take him as US coach immediately if Berhalter got ousted.

 

DC is a nice ocean. Ten years on he can be a Cup winner like Ben.

 

Match stats are incredible. If you weren't watching it looks like a totally one-sided game.
