https://www.footyheadlines.com/2022/12/blog-post.html?m=1 New Sounders info leaked at Footy Headlines. They will be going red and black for their secondary.
I am intrigued! I liked those old CarToys kits, though someone on Footy Headlines was speculating a Kurt Cobain-inspired jersey, just like they have a Hendrix one now. Another FH commenter was noting that the Adidas contract with MLS ends in '24. I'll be curious if it ends at that time or gets renewed. My favorite early Sounders kit, along with the CarToys one, is when the Nike swoosh was used as the sponsor logo. Not that Adidas couldn't do that (not sure if they would. They did sponsor Bayern Munich jerseys way back in the day).
MLS/Adidas current contract is indeed through 2024 Source It's gonna be a bonanza for MLS no matter which manufacturer gets chosen with the 2026 World Cup boost surely coming into play.

For such a young team that has already kind of veered away from it, seems odd to say “that’s what an Atlanta jersey should look like” but yeah, that’s what an Atlanta jersey should look like. Obviously they have to change it frequently but to me it should be within the confines of that 5 stripes, 3 red, 2 black as often as possible. LAFC looks like a training jersey, rates a hard “meh” for me. For Miami, it’ll be interesting to see if the alternating patterned / solid bars present as hoops from the stands/on tv. I doubt they will, but at least it would make it appear more interesting than a plain black jersey, which in essence is what it is. I’ll give it a tentative “meh and a half” but the stand out here is obviously Atlanta, which gets a big thumbs up from me.
The Revs jersey was leaked earlier today, but seemly went under everyone’s radar. 1606367055556509699 is not a valid tweet id
I saw it, but didn’t think it was worth it to post since it was just a rendering based off of this earlier leak from June.

That’s not great. They literally took a plain black jersey off the rack and slapped a Nashville logo on it. Could they have been anymore lazy? Unfortunately it’ll sell well because it’s considered “clean” and a lot of soccer fans have bland tastes.
I'd give the Crew a pass on that requirement, but off the top of my head, I can't think of any other team that shouldn't have that moratorium slapped on them.

MLS media day is usually a good time to get the occasional leak. Looks like each team is getting a reversible jacket which seems to be home colors on the outside and away colors on the inside. Also a hint at what the Fire are likely to be wearing this year. Had the chance to see the new 2023/24 @TimbersFC primary kit. Can’t share the pic, but this mockup is about 95% accurate to what it looks like. Didn’t see the white shorts myself, but I’m assuming they’ll be an option.#RCTID #PTFC🌲🪓 @Footy_Headlines @EleteTSC @LaCasacaBlog pic.twitter.com/kyDqSL9ZaV— Jonah Henderson (@JonahNHenderson) January 12, 2023
Dallas has a new shirt sponsor and will reveal their secondary kit on February 16th. wondering (based on the scarf in the video) if it will have an argyle pattern, which would rock. https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/fc-dallas-announce-new-jersey-sponsors-ahead-of-2023-season
I thought their last primary kit was good, thought not nearly as good as the two that came before it. I think this one is great and on part with the 2019/20 hooped kit. Not sure they’ll ever top the 2017/18 primary, though.

They don't look to happy, amirite? But I like the wordmark. I had also recently seen a social media avatar (Twitter?) simply reading "UTSW" in a heavy strokeweight and sans-serif, Helveticaesque font that I liked. That might have looked good on a jersey (mock ups, anybody?). OK, Seattle. Your turn.

Agreed. They really gotta get away from this "home/away" jersey thing, which they seemed to be doing for a while, and make it a "primary jersey all the time unless there's a conflict with the home team." And then Columbus had a so-called "away jersey" but they wore it at home a lot. This is 2023. There's no reason for teams to be "dark vs white/light."
