I know one person who moved out of Ohio. One...and that might also have been because of a better job and/or other non-political reasons although I believe politics played a factor. I know three fans who used to go to every Crew game prior to April 2020. Since then? One of them went to one. So yeah...the numbers definitely aren't as high as the threats.
I've said elsewhere that StubHub had a bunch of listings on Sunday, clearly before anyone actually had tickets. I hypothesized that they were st holders who didn't understand the process and assumed that they would have their regular seats. Sorry for your freind.
Long queue for next window opening. I will be a little upset if they saved tickets for that group. If it's going to be like that, a lottery might be a better way to go. The Reds use that for Opening Day.
I'm in the ticket master queue for the five o'clock presale. My number in the queue has been stuck for several minutes. Yet another something fishy is afoot.
(just posted on Reddit) FYI - From the Crew "We wanted to let you know that, as of now, we have no tickets remaining to offer for MLS Cup on Saturday, December 9 against LAFC. MLS Cup is a Major League Soccer-run event, and MLS controls all aspects of this match, including all allocation of tickets. That being said, we were only able to offer the tickets that were made available to us as an organization to 2023 Season Ticket Members that opted-in for 2023 Playoff Strips. Should more tickets be released to us by MLS, we will first offer these to those that were not able to get tickets before we release them to the general public. There is no guarantee we get more tickets from MLS. We appreciate your support of the Club. Glory to Columbus!"
I'm pretty sure the ticket I got was part of an early sponsor code user. He was offering 8 tix and you could have any number. I don't believe that much of anyone actually got 8 tickets legitimately, but StubHub has confirmed that the tickets are there. I have no morals whatsoever and don't care where they came from as long as I get in the door.
I haven't seen anyone say they're done with the team. I have seen some people saying that the game should be at a predetermined site if MLS is going to be in full control.
Well, we finally got the email, there are no tickets available for us. It took great pains to inform us that the ticket allotments were completely controlled by the league, and that only enough were available for those who purchased playoff strips. We had how many sellouts this year, and this is the way the league handled things?
So, it wasn't just limited to season ticket holders but those that opted in for playoff strips and it was still this big of a mess?
I don't know why the league should get to hijack this game in the first place. It's a Crew home game. Which we EARNED.
Go big or go home, I guess. Work kept me from getting the strip, I was on the road for the games, but we were assured we could buy in for the final, if it was here.
I think they view at as being like the Super Bowl, except it gets played in the better team's stadium rather than at a predetermined site.
Try again tomorrow at 10. And probably again when LAFC's allotment goes back. I read further that LAFC get "Supporters tickets," adult tickets, and lower bowl tickets. So there will likely be a final disbursement. Portland had a drop of 500 that sold out in a minute in 2021. LAFC fans have been complaining there's no direct flights to columbus. Our crappy airport may save us some.
I'm trying to buy the $10 lottery ticket on Nordecke.com... but it keeps declining my card (there's nothing wrong with my account or card, I literally just used the same payment info to buy a Nordecke membership a few hours ago). Anyone else having this problem?
I think: 9am - Presale for VIP and club seat holders 1pm - Presale for STH who opted in to 2023 playoffs. 5pm - Presale for other STH from 2023 8pm?? - Presale for STH new in 2024
