4th Japanese to reach double figure goals in German top flight, after Takahara, Kagawa and Okazaki. Omedetto
Great achievement. Doan could also go into that step. And season is still running. Also Okugawa was close to join them. A pitty what happened to him.
Re Okugawa, he is now back in Japan and in first place with Kyoto Sanga. Kyoto fans feel very positive about the course of his career.
I mean more his threatening at Augsburg. He was a beast at Salzburg and also very good at Bielefeld in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2.
There are some rumors over here in Germany that Borussia Mönchengladbach see him as a potential Kleindienst replacement who is rumored to leave them at the end of the season. It would be a very good move for both parties imo as he´d be guaranteed to stay in the Bundesliga at a mid-table clup who can potentially challenge for one of the European places in the table under a coach who likes to play attack-minded football. Also, Gladbach seems to have been a decent destination for Japanese players.
Machino scored and short after that get injured. Doesn't look good, cause it looks real serious. Get subbed out. Couldn't even walk alone. I think the season is over for him. What the hell is going on ? It feels like every japanese player abroad, gets injured this season.
Yeah....but from my point of view normaly they were never injured or only slightly. At the moment almost a whole starting eleven is injured it feels. And so sad for Machino, hope I am wrong and it's nothing but it looks like a foot broke or something. When he was trying to walk on his foot, it seems like he has extremely pain. Please not Ito 2.0. Shuto was in such a great form and has so much joy and passion.
Good news, after a MRT, Kiel announced Makino is not injured and likely possible to play on weekend against Freiburg.
And a awesome assist to make it 1:0 and later he cleared a ball on the line for Kiel. Incredible game so far from him against Doans Freiburg. What a season. Doan on the other side is also very lively. Almost scored at the beginning but the ball was a little deflected from a defender and so he misses closely.
Kiel gets relegated today after a 1-2 loss against Freiburg. Good I think, cause Machino will stay in the Bundesliga or so and Doan is close before Champions League.
Of course but in Mainz and Freiburg you get a familiar field, plenty much time to settle in when you struggle + there is no pressure like in similar good/big clubs like Leipzig or Dortmund. Sure those clubs are a step bigger but Freiburg for example is not that far the last years and most important the fanbase from Mainz and Freiburg are very very excited about Machino. Freiburg looks very likely cause a youth coach from Freiburg, was asked about Machino after the game against Kiel, in Kiel and he said, they club is taking that seriously and it's not only a rumour. And I think Machino would fit good into that system where every player needs to be a little multifunctional. Machino can play striker, OFM and winger. And this guy has 12 goals + 4 assists. So almost every second game a scorerpoint. Very very good. For example Machino has more goals then all strikers from Freiburg (10 goals) together.
Borussia Monchengladbach is rumored to be for him, was hoping for Dortmund/Frankurt but since they are getting CL next season then they have a lot more choices to pick from.
Gladbach too yeah , I wrote this some weeks ago but Maint and Freiburg also and they last two ones both play international so I think they will go for it.
After sources Machino will pass the medical the next days to join Gladbach. A little sad cause Freiburg or Mainz would be way better in terms of International football and club leading and the familiar surrounding. Gladbach is okay ( I know what I say about the club in the past ^^) but the coach is horrible and you have the feeling the get worse and worse with him so appart from that, not the best move but things could turn out better I guess and at least Machino stays in the Bundeslig. But for his development, Freiburg and Mainz would be a huge improvement. But let's see.
