    The above is true. Anson went from an assistant coach to head coach for the UNC men in 1977. Started the women's team in 1979. Was head coach of both teams until 1988... the women's team took off and had a string of championships by 1988, and the men's team was doing well (70% win rate) and made the final 4 in 1987. I really can't imagine planning, practice, travel, games, recruiting, etc. for two teams each day in the season. But Anson solved that in 1988 by agreeing to be the coach of the US Women's soccer team for an 8 year stint, and had to jetson the UNC men so as to make room for another double header coach career. US won the first FIFA Women's World Cup in 1991.
