@WSOCFan Okay thanks mate, Oakland is the worst place in the world, we get it. Let's move on.

All I’ve heard is they wanted females only and have been turned down by them all.

Thoughts on a common trend that we seem to be seeing more of, mens coaches going to women's programs as assistants - Alex Shinsky (Temple Men to Maryland) is alma mata, Miles Vaughn (Maryland Men to SMU Women), Michael Marchiano (Drexel Mens Head to Maryland Women) is Alma Mata. I could be missing a couple more but is it for job security reasons / for head coaches to get a different perspective on players

How much longer are they willing to wait? I thinks it’s close to four months now.

Longest time it took to make a hire far as I know in the last decade was Syracuse in 2018, took them 122 days. LIU could break that, currently at 103 days and no end in sight (if 12/1 was the correct date of last day of departed coach). Hard to find coaches to move to NY I guess. It’s the middle of the spring and they should be playing scrimmages and those kids haven’t had a head coach this whole semester. Good luck to that hiring committee, if people didn’t want to touch that why would anyone want to touch that job now. Just give it to the assistant or open it to males and then call it a day.

***added due to the coaching bio information. In December, it still was not “official” who would be head coach. The bio change will serve as confirmation.

~added due to the promotion, no coaching vacancy. Program now has “co-head coaches.”

Just a reminder, I don’t list any until officially announced.

Bellarmine is just one of the many schools that could see some changes in Head Coaches based on Asst. Positions open in the P4’s.

Not a bad move with how college athletics is changing.
More to come sooner rather than later. Currently there are positions open in 2 SEC Schools and other P4’s.

LSU and Mississippi State on the SEC. Other P4 school could see some openings here soon, with a high possibility of that trickle effect reaching competitive mid-majors (not top ones).

LSU is an interesting one that has been open since the beginning of the year with Tiffany Hansen's departure. (Now Associate HC at Kansas).

    Not sure on that.

FSU has reached out to a couple of Goalkeeper Coaches according to sideline talks at the last big event.

Any word on Oakland and LIU? Anyone know anything? Both very interesting. LIU trying to break a record on longest streak without a coach. Oakland I believe restarted their search?

Although the coaching carrousel still moving, it has slowed down, therefore now could be a good time to do a Way-to-early hot seats 24-25:

Arizona - This one always gets this forum going. With another losing record, this could be it. Should be warm to say the least, entering the 2024 season.

Kansas State - Somehow contracts keeping getting extended here. Losing seasons after losing seasons, lack of substancial program development, while also having a high turnover in the assistant positions. Loyalty has an expiration date in college athletics. That might be the case here sooner rather than later.

Oregon - With a season for the books, horror books I mean, and contract up in 2024 while entering a very strong conference, it will be surprising to not see an opening here by the end of the year. This is not a hot seat, it’s a burning seat.

    Auburn?

    Michigan?

    Who else?

Arizona and Oregon for sure. I would think Syracuse has got to be pretty warm but the previous coach was a dumpster fire for years so the administration there might be very patient.
