You seem to know more than I do…late changes suck for the kids and rarely work out for the program. Tough spot all the way around.

    What do you know?

***added due to the coaching bio information. In December, it still was not “official” who would be head coach. The bio change will serve as confirmation.

~added due to the promotion, no coaching vacancy. Program now has “co-head coaches.”

    Wait! What?!

At first I was surprised that DI HC would be leaving for a CC but then I looked at their record.

HC has been at Nicholls State for three years and his combined record is 3-51-2. Wow!

The program didn't use to be that bad. In fact they had a quasi-respectable run in the early 2010's but then things got really bad.

Good luck to whomever takes over.

They are so underfunded in all aspects. Facilities and staff. They were looking for an assistant coach with a small stipend a month and potentially housing. Which is crazy because the southland conference isn’t overly rich or super funded but you’re going to struggle with barely a paid assistant.

just another D1 that’s underfunded, NCAA needs to have some standards at some point.

I know that this does not refer to the number of schools, as some schools have turned over more than once, but we just hit 300 Division 1 head coach turnovers in the last six years.

Or she did not like the job she was in, or did not like being a head coach, or did not like living there, or wanted to be closer to family (no idea where she is from). Just saying there are a lot of factors into why someone makes a job switch. Not everyone likes being a head coach either. Look at Mike Bristol, former FSU assistant and Washington Spirit assistant. Pretty sure he could get a good head coaching gig, but he seems to be content in the assistant role.

Unknown administrative inquiries often serve as catalysts for coaching transitions that, upon cursory examination, appear counterintuitive.

At the end of a long Wyoming winter, maybe it's just cold than a mofo and you realize you gotta go.

I would imagine Wyoming isn’t a place most people would want to live and that was a reason for the departure.

I personally think St Louis is an awesome city. Haven’t been to Wyoming so can’t compare but I would think the winters there are probably a big deterrent to candidates.
