Also here in Germany. German Media is only bitching about messi without mentioning the Netherlands behaviour one single time.
It’s no secret they hate argentinische though.

I loved Aimar crying after Messi's goal. That was a beautiful moment.

The point about Dibu is we were winning 2-0 at the time. You only want to turn it into a scrap and drag your opponents down to your level if you're losing. We were in full control. You stay out of needless fights, it plays into your opponent's hands. We got nervous for no reason in my opinion but this is the Argentine way.

This team has suffered a lot in this tournament. Against Saudis, against Mexico, against Australia and against the Dutch. That's a lot of suffering. This team knows how to suffer and that's a good thing because we also have the balls to come through it. I don't think any team has gone through the emotional roller coaster that Argentina has in this tournament, with so many ups and downs.

If we're going to win this tournament we're probably going to have to suffer some more. I don't think this team knows any other way.

Paredes? What can you say? A moment of madness. If he gets sent off and we lose the game he probably would never be forgiven. Regardless of any Dutch provocation, you need a cool head, emotional control is key, particularly in big games. As I've said before, Scaloni needs to have a strong word with him. I still find myself shaking my head at his madness. We were winning the game. He needs to learn to control his emotions. It's not like he's a kid. He's an experienced player.

Having said that, he stepped up to take a penalty, and that showed balls and composure.

Need to have balls and brains. I like the emotional aspect of the players and the fans but you have to also see the negative side which is we act retarded sometimes (e.g. Maradona 82, Ortega 98, Paredes 22). Dibu, I trust to not cross the line get in the opponents head.

If you look at what Messi & Dibu did, then you'd know that our players are still carrying & reliving past grudge. Dibu taunting was similar to VDS againts Ortega while Messi was taunting LVG because of his treatment towards Argentines such as ADM & Roman.

Also, it seems that our players read too much of what being said to our teams by media.

Argentina has always been treated unfairly most of the time, by both FIFA & journalist.

Maradona was most fouled player for 3 consecutive WC. He was fouled 20+ times in previous game againts Italy and they receive no red.

In WC 1990, the media always mentioned Argentina had 2 players sent off in final but they never mention there were FIVE players being sent off in that WC when playing againts Argentina. They just wanna gives bad impression on us.

Not just Roman and & ADM. The media in Argentina is saying that van Gaal hates Latin American players in general. I think this is why Messi was so angry and behaved very uncharacteristically. I think it's total nonsense, but the media gets people riled up.

Still, you have to get them to act stupidly like Dibu tries to do. Not fall for the mind games.

Veteran Paredes almost left us with 10 men defending a 1-0 in WC qualifier.
Freshmen Mac & Enzo cool as cucumbers.
The myth of experience takes another hit.

TBF, Paredes hit his PK & Enzo missed his.

If you want to argue Paredes red then van dick should serve a jail sentence. By the way paredes first tackle was great, second missed the ball by inches was never going for the player. Dutch are divers and actors too. Dutch temper were already escalating after confrontation with Dibu. They started instigating. In extra time you saw a more settled and composed paredes and that was one of the best penal you can take. On top of that paredes was the one fouled on the last free kick with pezzela absolutely clowning behind him for no reason.

Mac stopped pressing for the first goal watch the space he gives. He should have been taken off. Lautaro also wasn’t pressing in that play which was weird

Paredes first LOST the ball with a careless pass. That's why he was so eager to get the ball back. First tackle was great, second was a clear yellow. Yes Dutch player should have gotten a red too and it should have been 10 v 10. But that has zero to do with Paredes acting like an idiot and kicking the ball for no reason.

The point is Paredes almost left us in a terrible situation due to his hotheadedness and he is a veteran. Scaloni must be super angry with him.

I don't know what to tell you if trigger happy ref himself didn't deem kick on empty seat a cardable offense. Or maybe he thought the tackle wasn't worth a yellow which I don't think it was. Paredes was actually praised https://www.ole.com.ar/mundial/mundial-qatar-2022/paredes-croacia-paises_0_ZQh3YhplJu.html

It’s crazy they escaped with no reds. That ref didn’t protect us at all.

Guys, I know this is a little off topic, but how would you compare the Netherlands team that we just beat to the 2006 Italy? Which team was better?

2006 Italy team was way way better.

All sections of that Italian team (GK, DF, Mid, Att) was so much better.

I don't remember ever dissing Argentina. I will admit I was pretending to be a fan, but I don't dislike Argentina either. I'd say Argentina is probably my favorite Latin American team. But yes, Italy is my real team, and while I like Argentina, I wouldn't necessarily say I am a fan per se.

No need to pretend, fratello. Many of us with our Italian ancestry were very happy with Italy winning the last Euro. You’re welcome to stay and cheer for us to hopefully win our 3rd star.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

If you notice, even the likes of Totti & Mancini would often likes our players & former players IG posts. I notice some of our former greats such as Bati & Zanetti are doing the same to them.

I hate the hypocrisy of how selective some media outlets chose to report stuff.

I'm sorry, but if a person's (Holland) behavior is a direct correlation of how someone else (Arg) react to that person's actions, then they can't complaint. The Dutch talked smack all week, during the game there were some hard tackles, Van Gaal wouldn't shut up, and then during the PKs they were instigating our players. Nothing but loser vibe from the Dutch - a nation that most of us probably held in some esteem before yesterday. Holanda! La Copa, se mira y no se toca!

Last thing to say was "Well, you called down the thunder, well you now you've got it Holland." Thunder.jpg
