Also, the Argentina photo taunting Holland after the win looked classless but in the stadium you could see the Dutch players talking smack to each Argentina PK taker. I’m glad even the English press reported it.

Probably best to just avoid that part of the board at this point. The blatant xenophobia is pretty disappointing though in this day and age.

saw this and cried again, watched the 2014 wcup finals still I would say it should've been the third wcup for us and for messi sake, if not for higuain and palacio, just analyzing wcup games right from 2006 it has been the coaches who have screwed the games for us with their tactics and substitutions why has been always a dearth of good coaches when we always have such a pool of talent, Scaloni yes has been good and very weird and conservative till now in all the matches, hopefully, he gets some balls and makes sensible decisions for two more games rather than acting emotionally as usual.

I must say that I did not like Messi’s and Martinez’s action after the game yesterday. Whatever happened on the pitch, should have been left out there. Messi’s shouting to the Netherland’s player while giving the interview was not necessary at all. Dibu and Messi commenting on the referee was also not very intelligent. This might come to bite us as referees don’t tend to like their colleagues being criticised so openly. Even though there is VAR and millions watching the game, referees still have power to influence the game with small as well as big decisions. The interviews after the match should have been avoided, it just put us in a bad position than what we would have been in. Very unnecessary!!!

It is just argentinian DNA you can't change that it comes with the package along with the other skillsets

Ref was garbage and kind to Argentina.

Nethelands were not even remotely as strong as I thought.

I will not further comment. I'm still gutted.

I was not necessarily advocating for Guido. My original question was” who else can play in that role other than Paredes?”. We have found the answer and that’s Enzo. Guido is unfortunately too deep and slow.

I didn’t understand back in June but I do now. Foyth is a sit back right back. He doesn’t go up, and scaloni prefers the opposite of what Foyth offers.

Ref was garbage and kind to Netherlands. Nearly twice as many fouls and yet fewer cards. Plus the absurd injury time and rewarding every flop around the box.

No where in football World Cup History (of games that I have seen) has a team EVER had a chance to go past 9 minutes in EXT, in a qualifier. Plus the ref being kind to Argentina, gets some prescription glasses.

In any normal game, this would have been 4 minutes max.

Yeah, that’s Scaloni’s son. And yes, he does look a bit like Dybala, which is one of the jokes going around on why Dybala has not gotten any minutes. :ROFLMAO:

Has anyone asked Scaloni why he didn't play Guido?

Mac had a great game but he was so burnt out and tired at the end. Would have been a perfect sub for Guido and let Paredes take Mac's spot.
