A celebratory toke! #FIFAWorldCup pic.twitter.com/WVd5jYJr9t— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) December 9, 2022 is this what tobacco vapes look like in the middle east / Croatia? I mean, where I live, that's a weed pen lmao
But honestly, very poor game management by Brazil. Why are you still sending bodies forward? Ironically enough, a shell like we did vs Iran would have been better, and I'm not really saying that with hindsight, because even if you're trying to get that 2nd goal, no need at all to send 6 forward. You hang a midfielder back, he covers the top of the box for that cross.
Our decision making on the break is crap. I can think of 3-4 just terrible choices / lack of vision on breaks this World Cup alone. Gotta dribble with your head up, and we largely don't.
PK’s. CRO surely has the more tired legs with 2nd OT match. It can make you wonder if your legs will do what you want on the PK.
The vast majority of this board thinks they should have kept pressing forward. Going defensive never works with a lead is what I've heard here.
Yea, and the setup is also not conducive to it all matches, especially when we're not playing a true 9 to occupy their central defenders and allow runs into the space in behind. Then if Gio was in there in a 4231 he would be up higher to receive that ball and hit it more smoothly. You have to win the ball first, and we wouldn't do it as much, but when we did we'd be more dangerous.
Croatia is kind of what's wrong with the whole PK set up. Just bunker your way all the way to finals based on coin flips.
Okay, on one had I LOVE an upset, but on the other hand, I do not wish to watch Croatia again and also how dare they deny us Brazil vs Argentina.
Dang, I wish the better team had advanced. I hate settling matches on pk's, but it's a necessary type construct in tournaments. Bring back the MLS shootouts at least!
CRO advances! Brazil f##ked up unnecessarily pushing forward late for second goal. Hubris by the players.
Wow. This was what the Belgium vs USA would've been, if Lukaku hadn't come off the bench to wreck Matt Besler.
So... Brazil got a good lesson at Education City. Congrats to Croatia for loving life as an underdog. Love me some Luka Modric.
