11pm is a really weird time to break news, but some news that will make many happy. Our new home @KSHB41 @38TheSpot https://t.co/PmaMnDAwiB— Sporting Kansas City (@SportingKC) February 14, 2022

I'm so glad they told Bally to pound sand... Now for the Royals - they are probably still screwed. https://www.kansascity.com/sports/mls/sporting-kc/article258376883.html
Amen. Some of the proposals BS was putting out there were 100% tone def, asking folks if we'd pay hundreds of dollars to stream SKC. Piss off.
Even the reported $20-$30 a month that was being floated around was tone deaf. Especially when I can go spend $7 a month and get ESPN+. Unlike Sporting though I think it'll be a lot harder for the Royals to get away from Bally.
******** the Leagues Cup! According to a source, the Leagues Cup in 2022 that teams like #SportingKC and others had legitimately qualified for is not taking place. That decision was made by the leagues in preseason. The announcement today of the showcase at SoFi Stadium seems to be in place of that.— Daniel Sperry (@sperrydaniel94) April 14, 2022
There is one worry, though I’d hope/think our tanking last year will mean we’ll get precluded from the apparent series of friendlies. EXCLUSIVE: There will be a series of @leaguescup Showcase matches this summer, highlighted by the SoFi Stadium doubleheader on August 3. Expect more announcements in the coming weeks. https://t.co/MxXW0B6JUL— Bob Williams (@WilliamsBob75) April 14, 2022
Man US Soccer really knows how to slowly kill my love for the US Open Cup. I was excited at the potential prospect of a game vs Union Omaha. It makes sense, they do a regional draw, Omaha is three and a half hours away it makes perfect sense to put them in the same "pot" for the draw today.... Nope, Kansas City is grouped with Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio for the draw...
Is there a rule that says the only teams SKC can face in the Open Cup are Minnesota, Dallas or Houston?
Apparently. 11 of the last 17 counting this one against 1 of these 3. Take away the game against St. Louis in 2015 and KC have played half of the last 16 USOC games against Dallas or Houston.
Shocker, we get drawn with Houston in the USOC. 9 of 17 against Houston or Dallas. 12 of 17 against Dallas, Houston, or Minnesota. 16 of 17 vs mls comeptition.
