Here is a little article from Bundesliga.de, the official page from the league. It tells that JNT qualified as the first team worldwide for the WC 2026 but the interesting thing is, when you scroll down. There is a highlight video from Ritsu Doan.

It's a really good one, he improved a lot this season. Worth a look. The title of the video is, "Doan is unstoppable" ^^.

Not less sources here in Germany are going that far, that Doan is behind Muisala and Wirtz the 3rd. best middlefielder of the league. If he is or not, don't know but he is damn good at the moment. Here is the article

Next assist from Doan. He assisted with a nice cross or more a direkt curve ball the 1-4 in a loss against Dortmund. He was very lively and played a good game. Has also a great chance to score directly after the beginning of the second half but Gregor Kobel saved it.

 

Another assist, the winning assist for Freiburg against Itakuras Gladbach.

 

Doan could double digit goals and assists.

He has 8 goals + 8 assists at the moment in 29 games. Also Champions League is possible to reach with Freiburg, they are on place 6th now.

Yeah he told Freiburg already he wants to leave and Freiburg officially said, they want to do anything to hold them but when he really wants to leave, they will grant him his wish, cause he is a very loyal player.

After sources, he said, he want to join Frankfurt and Frankfurt said, they are willing to pay any fee, which is needed to get him, cause Doan is Frankfurts target Nr. 1.

I think it all depends on, if Frankfurt can save the Champions League or not. For example when they fail and Freiburg secure CL instead, which is absolutely possible, I think Doan will stay, which would be good. But Frankfurt will be the perfect fit to improve him even more. Also Endo is not unlikely to join them next season. And both together would be a dream.

 

Very nice move from Doan to initialize the 1-0 (hockey asisst) and scored the 2-0 ! He is so on fire.

Sadly Freiburg conceded 2 goals 2-3 mins before half time to get it 2-2.

Edit: Doan is so good, and be become a real defensive thread too. In the 51th he was running behind Akpoguma in a battle and won back the ball. So good.

Edit: And another crazy run and worldclass play from Freiburg. Another hockey assist from Doan. One of his best games of is career, he is everywhere. The german commentators praised him a lot here.

Doan is a joy to watch. So much passion. Moriyasu have to watch their games and use him like he played at Freiburg.

Yes or no. Yuito can play on the left or in the middle or as a false striker. But yeah could be his replacement but Doan said after the game yesterday he never feel that home like in Freiburg, he said it's crazy how good he feels there and he has nothing decided yet, if he stay or leave. First he needs his holiday and some resting days to let free his mind. I think we will see that in the upcoming week.

I've seen Ritsu Doan in a few more or less Bundesliga Team of the Season. On EA FC 2025, on Bundesliga fantasy football...

 

Jepp, nontheless a good award. He was one of the best players of the league and nowadays often the POTM or TOTS cards are connected to the real life.

For example, you get only a POTM card in FC Sports (Fifa) when you get the official award from your league, but that's new, since 2 years or so. Before it was more fantasy, yes.

It's not impossible, that Doan get into the TOTS of the Bundesliga for real with 19 scorerpoints he was more effective and successful in the game then Muisala for example.

By the way, Suzuki scored the 1-0 and assisted the 2-2 against AGF in his last game for Brondby.

 

Ritsu Doan and Granit Xhaka has the second most hockey/preassists (10), of the Bundesliga after Joshua Kimmich (11). This showed even further, what a season he played.
