I am disappointed the LigaMX boss didn't use his Commissioner's Pick to add Jozy Altidore to their roster.

This event can reach epic proportions if its played in Mexico half the time (and the Mexican fans give a shit). I guess the tradition needs to grow first.

From Garber's interview, it doesn't sound like this will continue next year when the Leagues Cup is an official competition with all LigaMX and MLS teams participating. So, no tradition to grow.

So it's either go back to playing a euro team or West vs East.... The latter leads to a totally bs game, might as well cancel the event.

Why are those the only two options? I wouldn't mind an MLS World All Stars v. MLS American/Canadian All Stars match, that might be worth watching.

They still wouldn't play any defense. It would work if the usmnt team coach is in charge of the American team, but then what do you do with the Canadian players...

I'd like for Twellman just once to say something like, "that is a believable, but very good save (or shot, or pass)."

Will the MLS All-Starts or the Liga MX All-stars get punished for this? Stadium ban for next year's All Star game?? :lol

I would guess friendlies against lira mx teams, along with the campeones cup and the ASG in its current format will be gone going forward? All eyes on the Leagues Cup when it comes to Liga MX vs MLS.

Because when you're a troll and a sociopath you have to make absurd demands while ignoring viable alternatives or else you won't have something insane to say to get your fix of unwarranted attention.

I one again implore the mods to ban this psychopath from these boards. He's threatening my safety, plus has never added anything useful.

I’ve enjoyed all formats of the All Star game so I’ll probably be good with whatever’s next. Just don’t scrap it entirely. As usual I’m seeing some reaction around the Internet how MLS should ditch its own traditions and conform to Europe.

I support the ASG. It's an American tradition, but guess what? We're in America. It's ok to do different things, especially when its one of the highest rated games every single year.

I just can't support another version of the game where they just fool around and end up with an 11-8 scoreline. That's not really soccer at that point.

But ASG's with scores wildly out of line with competitive play are also an American tradition.

That's the bad part of the tradition lol and one the other leagues are also working on.

See - NHL's format and gigantic prize money, NBA adding score limit to final quarter, NFL.... ahhh... probably canceling the whole thing, etc.
