I'm discovering not only did I not know a player for United is on the roster, I did not know the roster at all. I used to at least be interested in who made the roster at least for next MLS match competition purposes.

Miller seems to be the only defender on the MLS squad who has any interest in defending.

 

Does a LAFC outside back really count as a defender, though?

Rumored upcoming announcement at half is that Liga MX has joined the B1G and MLS has joined the ACC for all sports except soccer.

 

Was there a Rising Stars game or anything during this All-Star couple of days?

 

I think this is the first time in a while that no one has withdrawn from the roster for reasons other than injury or transfer.

 

There was a MLS NEXT All-Star Game earlier today. All 16 and 17 year old academy players, East vs West format.

 

Split into 4 divisions and do the NHL thing for the all-star game with smaller squads and shorter games with the winners competing for the overall all-star title and a decent chunk of money.

 

I just watched the highlights. Was Continental sponsoring all of the tires on that NSC field? That was a bold penalty take by the East late in regulation.

Might be fun to create even more chaos by having them play small-sided games... maybe even futsal.
